I ate here twice in the same day, it is off the beaten path, so minimal tourists. But also the FOOD, chef kiss.
So I didn't know you could know what ovulating feels like until the wait staff asked me if I wanted water. They had to have taken a note from Abercrombie as each and every individual working here looks like they were carved by DaVinci. I thought I would be able to cool off for a moment and focus on the amazing food, but I had the bao appateizer and found I was still in a seduction phase of what i had not realized was going to be a confusing (in the best way that has me wondering if theres a new sexual orientation for people into food) dining experience. I had the chef's special for lunch, and I realized I was past foreplay. For dinner, I only had a starter and a side, but it offered no difference in regard to confusion and elation. But hold onto your panties, as I describe my appreciation for the sensual art of the desserts. Mind you each dish was beautifully prepared, but I hold a special place in my taste buds for sweets, and Tavola did not disappoint as opposed to my last several tinder dates. I swear, if I was ovulating from the wait staff, I was praying to be able to consulate a relationship with either the Tiramisu or the Apple Crumble. I want a Mormon or Catholic sized crew of little dessert babies. Although much like the Crocodiles of the outback, they would absolutely go missing whenever Momma got the munchies. The beauty of the circle of life.

After waiting around 10 minutes, someone finally came to take our order. Shortly after we ordered, it started to rain. We were then abruptly told that the covered terrace was closing and that indoor seating was only available for guests who ordered food.
Despite having just ordered drinks – and clearly asking beforehand if that was okay – we were told we had to leave, with no alternative offered. The staff’s attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.
It’s not about the policy, but the way guests are treated. This kind of service is unacceptable – especially in a city known for...
Read moreYuck! So, we thought this wasn't a tourist trap based on reviews, but we were wrong. We ordered two pastas, they were definitely not al dente, more like not cooked, and wayyy too salty. They did all the typical tourist things like water, putting bread on table etc.which we obviously refused.
The thing that really got us though was the service fee at the end of the meal... 2 euro. When asked, they told us that it was for the cost of plates, forks etc. LOL. I knew about this coming to Rome but this was the only restaurant that actually implemented it. When the server (curly haired tall man) brought back our change, he gave it all in small...
