We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Nautilus! It has a lovely service, staff and clean rooms. There is an elevator in the building. It’s really close to Vatican City and in a lovely neighbourhood (Prati). We didn’t have breakfast, because the coffee places in the area are also very nice. Prati is a quiet neighbourhood without too many tourists and a lot of friendly locals, coffee places and lovely restaurants. Thank you Hotel Nautilus! We enjoyed our stay in Rome, thanks to you!

Good price hotel near Vatican city. Rooms are spacious, bed was comfortable and big (160cm wide for double bed), rooms were cleaned every day. Our room was orientated to the backyard of the building so it was quiet during night. For breakfast you can choose croissants, youghurt and toast. Receptionist will prepare coffee for you as well. Metro is reachable by foot up to 10 minutes (Lepanto station).

Very nice stay, quite location, clear and new rooms. Friendly staff. Hotel is situated in 2nd floor of house. Air Cond. on a room works really smooth. From Ciamp.airport take a bus 520 to Cinecitta and then undrground to Lepanto...just few steps from hotel.

Location is key with this hotel. This hotel was perfect for a sightseeing trip to Rome. Its location is perfect and allows for easy access to many of the most popular tourist destinations in the city at an affordable price. It is also close to the launching off point for many day trips leaving Rome. This is not a hotel for someone who is expecting to spend several hours in the hotel relaxing. The rooms were clean, if a little dated. My only real complaint about the room is that the beds were a little uncomfortable, feeling more like cots than true twin beds. The breakfast got the job done, but it should have started a little earlier. Beating the crowds to local spots such as the Vatican is a great way to see the sites, and it is a shame that we had to leave before was breakfast was served several days to do that. However, for anyone getting a start later than 7:30-8, this will not be a problem. The staff were quite kind and friendly, and they made great recommendations on places to eat. While this did not impact us, it is important for people to know that this hotel is on the second floor. There is an elevator, but it is quite tiny and may pose a challenge for some. We did not have any problems with the wifi...

My husband and I recently stayed here, room was clean and area very nice. However, we had scheduled a 5:30 train to Venice one day on our vacation. The day before, we had asked to schedule a 4:30 AM cab to the train station so we could have plenty of time to get there and have breakfast. The next day, we were ready to go at 4:30 only the find we were locked into the hotel and unable to get out. We rang the bell multiple times, had to search the hotel and saw no taxi in sight. We ended up finding the hotel attendant asleep in another room, and after waking him up, asked if they had called a taxi. They had assumed we were confused and didn't need a taxi since we weren't checking out until the next day.

We could tell this was an accident and there was some apology, but all in all felt very unsafe if there was an emergency that we couldn't get out and nervous that we very nearly missed our trip entirely.

I HIGHLY recommend telling this hotel in detail what your plans are for the day so that you're covered to get back in and out of the building if...

Our room was so scuffed, torn and dated that it was just sad. But worse was that whenever you ran water, even for a moment, whether from the shower or sink or bidet, the toilet made a LOUD, grinding groan... which repeated every few seconds as long as the water was on (imagine our shower time)!. The photos show how bad the room was, including the blanket that I am sure was older than I am (and I'm 40!). The staff was cold. Even with a language barrier, warmth could have been communicated through body language and facial expression. They were not rude, just not at all friendly. I would not stay here again nor recommend it. The only good thing I can say is that the location was convenient to the Metro, the Vatican, many restaurants and cafes, and good shopping. Oh yes, and the TV screen was smaller than my laptop screen (which I had with me!). Not that I had planned to watch much TV, but it just to me bespoke the cheapness...
