Very disappointing experience. We have dined here many times over the last five years as we have a home nearby. We returned to the restaurant after a year away due to lockdown. We reserved our favourite table in the window the week before and when we arrived some other people were sat at it! We were disappointed but decided to stay. We were then served Prosecco that wasn’t cold enough. We ordered our food and a nice bottle of wine. When the wine arrived we were given small white wine glasses, unlike the American lady sat at the table we had requested. She ordered a glass of red wine and was given a large red wine glass! We had decided that was enough. We wanted to explain why we were going to the manager who could see we were unhappy waiting at the till. He was too busy fawning over the Americans to come and see us. When he eventually did, we offered to pay for the Prosecco but said we were leaving. In fairness he didn’t charge us but we asked why the table had been given to someone else snd he told us that these people asked for it two days ago! Also she had the last red wine glass. Not a great experience. The restaurant menu is also different as are all the staff. I can only assume it has...

The prices are a bit on the higher side, but hey: it's a tourist area. Their menu isn't too big, but what they offer is fresh (lobster wasn't a frozen one!) and very well prepared (the baked potatoes were a little bit too oily and could use some creative seasoning, but the beef cuts were perfect). All in all: We had a great dinner. Thank you!
Ate here a second time! The Ravioli with the slow cooked onion and pork cheek had so much flavor! The sweetness of the onion and the salty and smokiness of the porc complemented each other perfectly. Great! Thank you also for the very...

As someone who values authentic culinary experiences, I was quite disheartened by my visit to Oliver Bistrot in San Gimignano. This establishment seems to disregard the rich traditions of local cuisine, offering dishes that not only fail to honor the culinary heritage but are also regrettably overpriced. The quality of the food was underwhelming, lacking the depth and care one would expect from a restaurant of its standing. To add to the disappointment, the service was notably unfriendly and unprofessional. It’s a shame, as this place does not live up to the charm and excellence one might hope for in such a picturesque...
