Portofino Gourmet Ristorante — Restaurant in Santa Margherita Ligure

We visited this restaurant twice. The first time was just to purchase some carry out for dinner on our hotel balcony. We bought bread, salami, shrimp and calamari, three kinds of cheese plus Prosecco. It was delicious and they were willing to slice the bread and include plastic knives for the rest. The second time was the next day for a wine-tasting before dinner. It was the first time they had done this but Deborah was wonderful and knowledgeable. The food here is fresh and delicious. A lot of variety and choice, it can be hard to choose! We ordered take away the first time to eat in our hotel room and enjoyed every bite. Great value for money. The second time we ate in their outdoor eating area. The food was great but the atmosphere chaotic and not relaxing at all. We bought some charcuterie and cheese for takeaway. The personnel doesn’t even greet you (we were the only two people in the store) or acknowledge you.
