We stayed in Sestri 3 days and La Cantina del Polpo is must visit! The quality of the ingredients is outstanding. So is their combination. We went twice. I took todays catch both times and it was perfect. My husband also tried the meat which he enjoyed. Finally, the tiramisu was among the best I tried in my life. The personnel is professional and very helpful. Thank you 😊

We had a lovely time at del Polpo. I pay attention to detail and can be critical but I can only say positive things about this place. The food is quality, mostly seafood oriented which works very well for me, staff are professional and very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed every single meal. Special thank you to Alessandro, our young waiter. Hope to be back soon.

Laureen was absolutely wonderful. Made us feel really welcome and helped us choose our meals. The focaccia and olive oil was unreal. Cuttlefish salad... Zucchini flower stuffed with anchovies. Things I would have never normally tried but was very delicious. Trofie was not to be missed. Sesame crusted tuna beautiful... Go here. 💗

Came here after reading reviews of others and can agree - service and food was really wonderful. Stopped in on our way through town, and couldn’t be happier. Ordered the zucchini appetizer with garlic and mint leaves, and anchovies with lemon - so simple and divine. We also had the carbonara with squid, seafood pasta, and pasta with tomato sauce. Our toddler ate more than a full plate of the pasta — everything was so fresh and delicious. A very good restaurant and certainly the best we discovered on our brief stay in this very appealing town. In particular the pasta was outstanding and the atmosphere lively and the service attentive and welcoming. I am still mourning the closure of 'El Pescador', which did not survive the Covid recession, but this now has to be my personal favourite in Sestri. Warmly recommended for both the quality of the food and the overall experience. Its sister restaurant Polpo Mario is nearby and also well...

Wow! Some of the best food we had! Amazing starters, octopus is yummy, but the highlight is the pasta with local pees and prawns. We were on a road trip and luckily I saved this restaurant as I read a recommendation online. We had to do a detour but it was definitely worth it! The wine and the service is really lovely.
