Osteria Pizzeria Sotto le Logge del Papa — Restaurant in Siena

So sad this great food experience can't get a 5 star. We had a recommendation for their pizza de la Papa, and it is so good it deserves 5 stars! Unfortunately the experience is not complete, so I recommend ordering before sitting, as you have to pay for the service and it's definitely not worth paying. The waiters were really kind so I hope my review doesn't affect them. There was a man looking like he was "in charge". I don't know if he is a head waiter or manager, but he constantly followed one of the waiters (I suppose he is a new guy), putting so much pressure on him, and on us too. From the minute we sat, it seemed like he wanted to hurry us up and kick us out. Standing above my head while I read the menu, eat, drink, I just felt his tension all the time and couldn't relax. Removing plates too soon, sending the waiter to ask us for more drinks or deserts, I noticed everything, and I'm not a demanding person at all,so it definitely wasn't professional and discrete. Also we were there for a really short time, hurrying to get out asap, so I don't think we were such a problem for them. I really hope that this review will affect him or anyone behaving like that on changing...

Pizza was alright but other family members said that the pasta was bad and they come in very small portions, you could easily make better food and bigger portions at home for a better price. The food was bad, but you could find worse, the thing is that they charge 2 euros for each person that sits and dines there, even for children. This place is like a tourist trap, one family of tourists goes in to check out the food, and other tourists will go to the same place because they think that others are there because of the food. The atmosphere wasn’t very special, it was just a casual restaurant on the street, and when we tried to go in, the owner said that the seats are outside when we clearly saw some inside and we felt like he was forcing us to sit outside. The service was a bit boring, the woman wasn’t very optimistic and i felt like she was hurrying us, even when someone would say the name of an item on the menu, she would instantly ask if we she should write it down even if i didn’t talk directly to her about what i should order. I would not recommend this place and you could find a much better place...

Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience at this restaurant. We sat down and ordered our food and we were then given breads and a small cheese platter, which of course ate. We were then told 15 minutes later that the cheese was a mistake and for someone else. We were one of maybe three tables in the restaurant and we didn’t see anyone else get served this dish. The waiter admitted it was his mistake. When the bill came it was charged on our bill and when we queried it we were told ‘well you ate it’. They refused to remove it from our bill.
