Gelateria Artigianale / Mr. Ice — Restaurant in Sirmione

My family and I stopped by Mr Ice to ask how to get to the Old Town of Sirmione. The owner said that there was a public bus not too far from his shop but it only took €2 coins. As we didn't have coins on us, we paid with a note for 2 ice creams to get change. We were so focussed on getting change for the bus and getting to the bus stop that we didn't realise he charged us for 3. What a cheat! Firstly, when we got to the bus stop we discovered we could pay by card. It wasn't only €2 coins and secondly to cheat someone for a scoop of ice cream..

I wouldn't recommend to anyone as the flavours are clearly made with powders and didn't taste...

We used this ice cream shop whilst visiting Sirmione. The ladies offer samples to lure people into the shop which then makes you feel like you need to buy something. We ordered small 1 scoop ice creams which we pointed to the board 3 euros each. They served us all large ice creams despite asking for small and then charged us an extortionate amount. We have been paying 10 euros for 5 ice creams in Peschiera, this was over double that amount, a total rip off and disappointing experience unfortunately! Would...

We stopped here for gelato and ended up getting great service and kindness. Our phones were nearly dead, we were an hour from home, and totally stuck with no way to call a taxi.

The staff went out of their way to help us get one, even though it wasn’t their problem. That kind of generosity is rare.
