I spotted that this place had a vegan options and decided to stop in on my way past. The carciofi is the only vegan option but not only is it delicious, it's the best arancina I had during my holiday in Sicily. Service was fast but it was served piping hot with a delicious thin and crispy crust. I was expecting chopped artichoke inside but it was most amazing smooth and creamy puree. The whole thing was seasoned perfectly! My only disappointment was that I hadn't bought more. I ate it on the way to Syracuse bus station, and desperately wished I had got more because they were just that good. I am always on the search for great vegan food in and around Ortigia. I host a vegan street food tour and was early one day so I stopped in to try the one vegan arancino option on the menu. It was delicious! It had an authentic crispy outer layer surrounding the rice and vegetable-filled interior. The place is super casual, I ordered & paid at the counter. The wait time on the food is lightening fast! There is minimal seating inside but several tables outside which is absolutely the place to be this time of year! Sicily #21, Siracusa #2, Italian. #10, "Fast food" #2: came here for a late-night snack after getting beers nearby. Many things were closed/closing, and this seemed to be one of the few things still open.

I went into this place thinking it was going to be a tourist trap/awful, but I was hungry enough that it didn't matter. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the food. We ordered a handful of different arancini and pizze €3,5/ea. Everything was honestly good, but I particularly liked the ragu and the burro arancini.
