The service was incredibile, the waiter/ manager of the restaurant (I think) was very welcoming and partook in interesting conversation with us. The atmosphere was also incredible, we were seated outside under some large umbrellas and next to some plants. The waiter also showed us how water from the air conditioning can be recycled to water said plants.
Finally, on to the crown Jewel of the restaurant, it’s food. We ordered a Margherita pizza for my son and daughter & a sausage and onion pizza for me and my husband as well as a gluten free Pizza for my eldest son, who is celiac. When the pizzas arrived they looked cooked to perfection and the waiter even ensured us that the gluten free pizza was cooked in a separate oven in a separate room to the other pizzas. This was a standard of service we haven’t seen at any other restaurant. Not to mention the pizza was at such a high standard that my eldest son even remarked that if we lived here he would eat at this...
Read moreWent out for lunch today, the four of us. Couldn't find anything appealing in Ortigia, so we walked to Via Malta and found this wonderful seafood and pizza restaurant right before the entrance to Ortigia. What a find. Amazing fresh local fish, mussels and vongole.. We ate snapper and it was to die for. Also had local fresh mussels and pasta with vongole. By far the best food and eating experience we have discovered during our time in all Italy. Recommend Puros Siracusa to all that appreciate great fresh local cuisine and customer service that cannot be beaten. It was also so helpful that some staff there can speak English , but the reality is, the food and service did all the talking!!!! Thank you all at PUROS, where they made customers feel like family! If I could vote 7...

They provided a bottle of water, tomato’s, olives, and oranges on the table instead of bread- so good on a hot day. Seafood salad was perfect. Caponata with swordfish was delicious- slightly sweet. It is served warm - maybe not my best choice on a hot day. My son said the same about the pulpo. So good! But hot on a hot day is not sane. Rosé Wine was reasonably priced. Three people for lunch was 60€. Such nice people and such good...
