During my visit to Caffè Forastiero, I found the food to be decent. We ordered a yogurt bowl, and it was satisfactory in terms of taste and presentation. However, I must mention that the service experience was a bit disappointing.
The waiter at Caffè Forastiero appeared to be quite busy and overwhelmed, which resulted in a lack of organization. It seemed as though they were juggling multiple tasks and customers, which affected the overall efficiency of the service. It took longer than expected for our order to be taken, and there were a few instances where we had to remind the waiter about our requests.
Despite the slightly disorganized service, the atmosphere of the café was pleasant. The interior was cozy and inviting, providing a comfortable space to enjoy our meal. The café had a relaxed ambiance, making it a suitable spot for a casual get-together or a quick bite.
In terms of pricing, Caffè Forastiero was reasonable and aligned with the quality of the food. The menu had a decent variety of options to choose from, catering to different tastes and preferences.
Although I had mixed feelings about my experience at Caffè Forastiero, I believe that with some improvements in the organization of the staff, the café has the potential to offer a more enjoyable...

Sat down for a coffee and pistachio cornetto in the morning. Two croissants were brought in straight away in a basket, no plates. Waited over 10 minutes for two cappuccinos. When they arrived they were boiling hot and very bitter, one of the worst coffees ever had in Italy. The cornettos barely had a teaspoon of pistachio cream. I asked for a bill and the waiter arrived with a credit card machine, just presented it for contactless payment. I checked the amount. 24 EUR! I know Taormina is expensive but with cappuccino being 4eur there is no way they could charge 8 EUR for one sad croissant. I asked the waiter to check it and bring a bill. He came back insisting that the amount is correct, still no bill. Only when I refused to pay till I saw a breakdown of what we are being charged for (this time in Italian), they brought the bill coming to 14eur. Not even got an apology or acknowledgement of their error. AVOID THIS TOURIST TRAP! Go elsewhere (check my other reviews) for better coffee...

When we politely asked if they happened to have a slice of chocolate cake, the staff responded with a mocking tone, which we found quite inappropriate and unprofessional. A café — especially in such a beautiful and touristic place — should strive to make guests feel welcome, not judged or ridiculed. Before making fun of others, perhaps the staff should take a moment to reflect on their own behavior. Hospitality is about kindness and respect, and sadly, that was missing during our visit.
Dear Caffè Forastiero team, Thank you once again for your kind response. I truly appreciate that you took my feedback seriously and responded with such professionalism and care.

Wishing you all the best going forward, and thank you again for your thoughtful message.
