Absolutely loved this place. The location is amazing right next to the Porta Messina… you watch as all the tour groups pass into the city. Although it is busy, locals and tourists alike are coming and going often, so you don’t have to wait long to get a seat.
My wife and I really enjoyed the coffee (espresso) - if you like a bit of sweetness, try the espresso con panna (with cream) - my wife’s favorite. The strawberry granita with cream was amazing - don’t miss out on that one. The traditional cannoli was also very good. I don’t think you can go wrong ordering anything here.
Staff was very friendly and spoke great english. We would highly recommend stopping by this place when visiting Taormina. You won’t be...

Completely reasonable and irresistibly delicious with a wonderfully scrumptious outdoor patio right in the heart of one of the most perfect cities. Best spot to relax and people watch on a busy day. Also don’t sleep on the ricotta pie and the cannoli some of the best I’ve had on the motherland. Visited this perfect spot so many times I lost track and despite only being in town four days was greeted with a warm ‘you again’ everytime. They couldn’t get rid of me! Will miss dearly and hope to return...

We tried a few places in town during our extended stay in Taormina and landed on Don Diego and stuck with them for the rest of our time in town. Their cornetti are delicious and let's not even talk about their gelato. The best in town especially our favorite Amarena. We also found prices to be fair for the quality you get. Thank You so much Don Diego staff. We...
