Italian Opera Taormina really is one of those little surprises that makes a trip unforgettable. It has almost nothing in common with the real opera. I didn’t mind a small stage. I believe it could have been a very charming, cosy experience with a vibe of a schoolplay show. However, it seemed as the artists performed together for the first time. There was no connection, no emotions and no story, just one song after another. Additionally, everything was plastic, water in plastic bottles, plastic glasses, artificial grass on the tarrace. It just lacked good Italian style. My opinion is absolutely not to be mean, perhaps the artists had a bad day or sth. I just want to help the organizers improve their service. They all seemed very kind and friendly. FREGATURA ASSOLUTA , BIGLIETTI ACQUSTATI PER UN EVENTO INESISTENTE! A luglio 2021 il sito, NON aggiornato, diceva che il teatro aveva riaperto dopo chiusura Covid il 6 Aprile e permetteva di acquistare biglietti online dal tasto messo in primo piano proprio allo scopo...Ci ha permesso di prendere 5 biglietti e di stamparli con tanto di data evento, numero poltrona e QR Code, e addirittura di scegliere i posti fra quelli rimasti disponibili al netto delle altre prenotazioni che erano evidenziate...peccato che poi ci siamo ritrovati davanti un TEATRO CHIUSO ...quando abbiamo chiamato al telefono, dove ci hanno miracolosamente risposto ( perché prima avevamo chiamato varie volte per conferma ma NON RISPONDEVA MAI NESSUNO ) ci hanno detto che la serata era annullata! Di fronte alle nostre rimostranze per non essere stati avvertiti in alcun modo, e al giusto disappunto per l'addebito comunque avvenuto, si sono anche risentiti dicendo che sicuramente dovevamo aver ricevuto un rimborso...ma a parte che la mail non è arrivata ( e abbiamo scoperto solo da controlli bancari successivi che il rimborso era avvenuto), resta il fatto che di fronte a una prenotazione di biglietti per un evento inesistente , occorreva minimo una telefonata! Una mail, anche se fosse stata mandata, poteva ben sfuggire a persone in viaggio!( e comunque non ne è stata rinvenuta alcuna nella casella di posta). Ci siamo rimasti malissimo e abbiamo sostenuto spese di viaggio che nessuno ci rimborserà, oltre che il disagio di organizzare tutta una serie di cose in funzione della serata per nulla, e tutto perché all'alba del 2021 questi signori PRIMA se ne infischiano di aggiornare puntualmente il sito, POI permettono PURE l'acquisto online di biglietti per serate inesistenti a teatro chiuso, e INFINE non sanno nemmeno gestire la comunicazione con l'utenza! Vergognoso! Stiamo valutando seriamente di rivolgerci all'associazione...
