Quando si viaggia in un nuovo luogo, il primo pasto può influire molto sull’esperienza del viaggio. Sebbene io viva in Europa da poco più di un anno, il fatto di risiedere in Europa orientale e più nell'entroterra mi ha sempre fatto desiderare il mare. Così, finalmente ho deciso di fare un viaggio a Trieste.

Ho sempre amato il cibo italiano e lo ho mangiato spesso, quindi sono andato ad Amazon Coffee per un pasto semplice, senza grandi aspettative.

Ci sono posti a sedere sia all'interno che all'esterno; l'interno è un po' più raccolto, mentre l'esterno è più spazioso. L'interno ha un'aria leggermente vintage ma è pulito e ha una bella atmosfera. Il personale è stato incredibilmente cordiale, specialmente un uomo con i capelli corti e la barba che sembrava essere il responsabile; i suoi sorrisi e saluti calorosi hanno dato vita al locale.

Quando ho visto i prezzi del menù, pensavo che le porzioni sarebbero state piccole e mi sembravano prezzi ragionevoli. In fondo, ero in viaggio e pronto a pagare una cifra equa per un pasto leggero.

Tuttavia, quando è arrivato il cibo, sono rimasto sorpreso dalle porzioni generose e dagli ingredienti di qualità utilizzati (abbiamo ordinato un panino e una lasagna). Ha superato le mie aspettative.

Abbiamo fatto un pasto soddisfacente e avevamo inizialmente pianificato di prendere un dolce leggero e un caffè dopo, ma dopo una colazione così abbondante abbiamo deciso di fare una passeggiata prima.

Sono stato felice di iniziare il mio viaggio con un primo pasto così meraviglioso e, se il tempo lo permette, mi piacerebbe tornare qui ancora una volta prima di partire.

When traveling to a new place, the first meal can set the tone for the whole trip. Although I've been living in Europe for just over a year, being in Eastern Europe and more inland has made me long for the sea. So, I finally decided to take a trip to Trieste.

I've always loved Italian food and eaten it often, so I headed to Amazon Coffee for a simple meal without high expectations.

There’s seating both inside and outside, with the indoor space being a bit cozy and the outdoor area more spacious. The interior has a slightly vintage feel but is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially a gentleman with short hair and a beard who seemed to be the manager; his warm smiles and greetings really brought life to the place.

When I first saw the menu prices, I expected the portions to be small and thought the prices seemed reasonable. After all, I was traveling and ready to pay a fair amount for a light meal.

However, when the food arrived, I was surprised at the generous portions and the quality ingredients used (we ordered a panini and lasagna). It exceeded my expectations.

We had a satisfying meal and initially planned to have a light dessert and coffee afterward, but after such a big breakfast, we decided to go for a walk first instead.

I was thrilled to start my trip with such a wonderful first meal, and if time allows, I’d love to come back here once more...

Bad experience. My husband ordered spaghetti pomodoro and I ordered the "green" salad. We told the waitress "senza carna, senza formaggio" several times. We received our drinks first and waited forever. After a very long wait, the waitress tells us that they ran out of spaghetti pomodoro and they can make a pasta carbonara that has meat. No, we told her no meat. So then she offered a pesto sauce so my husband agreed. She came back to say it has cheese so he agreed to have a panini with grilled vegetables. We wanted to leave but we already were there for so long with our drinks. My salad came with a big bunch of cheese in it. It doesn't even show cheese in the menu ingredients. Food was just ok. Ashame to waste a lunch here when we were only in...

Disappointing "service". Came for a coffee and the place was nearly empty. Thus, I ordered a Latte Macchiato at the bar and sat on a comfy couch. I only had half of my Latte when some more people came in and I immediately had to move because they wanted to have some food at my table with the sofa (although other tables were still available). It's okay to move if it's getting very crowded, but this felt quite rude. Especially since the lady asked me to sit right next to the toilet door then (instead of at least letting me chose another table). So, I didn't finish the coffee (which wasn't good anyways) and went to the bar to pay - just to find out that the coffee costs more than the price listed on the large board because of the "table...
