Enoteca Nanut Trieste — Restaurant in Trieste

We were supposed to meet up with people from work, it was raining the day before but that evening was dry and crisp. We decided to stay out in front of the place, mainly because there is no space for a group of 10 in front of the bar. I have seen some photos of the back but we have not tried to go that deep. The place has a great variety of wines, it is a good opportunity to try some local ones to decide what to buy later. Of course this way we have not had the opportunity to try the food, or the cheese. Everyone says that they also have good cheese varieties. Maybe next time! I wish the service could be a bit faster. It was not so important since our group preferred bottles, so we didn't need actual service that often. But one can see how it would be hard to keep up with other orders with just one person looking after the bar and services inside...

Wow. The place is small but if you squeeze past the bar (which always seems to be busy) then there is a small but comfortable dining room in the back and this place is so worth it. The menu is smallish but you can blindly order any of the dishes, everything we tasted was fresh, fairly priced and just delicious. Really nice smaller restaurant! Just the place we were looking for! Great Italian dishes with local ingredients. We had a fantastic white wine also from the region perfectly paired with our fish! The music was fantastic! A good mix of jazz music. Sounded like someone with a good taste and some knowledge had made the playlist! Would say the desserts weren’t the best. The tiramisu was watery and I would say I expected more. But overall, I would recommend anyone to try...
