Wonderful bar located inside one of the most historically iconic building of Trieste. Part of the renovated Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, this bar offers a wide variety of drinks and food, signature cocktails, coffees and teas.

The aperitif time is the best for enjoy the unique atmosphere of the room, were Austri-hungarian art melts with the traditional design of the room. Chandeliers, bookshelves, wooden floors and perfect soft illumination gives to the place an authentic charm of old times.

The cocktails were good, even though their taste ware a bit too sweet and alcohol was not very noticeable. The finger food used for the aperitif was about some italian Taralli, basic potato chips, and some wasabi nuts that actually were the most appreciated among all of them.

Service wise was good, the girls were providing good customer service with positive and approachable attitude. Unfortunately some of them showed some lack of knowledge about some items listed in the menu. But this, I guess is caused by the management that doesn't train staff in the way they should do. I mean, nothing bad happened, but once you hit places like this, you expect a very high standard of customer service, and here it is just fine like you can find in some other bar.

Apart from this, I really enjoyed the time here, wonderful place to meet friends, celebrate something important or have a business drink with colleagues/clients.

I would suggest anybody around the Trieste city centre to try and...

Exceptional Service by Luis & Mattia

I had an outstanding experience at Berlam Coffee Tea & Cocktail, and I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by Luis from F&B and Mattia, the Head Bartender. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly attitude truly made my visit special.

Mattia was incredibly attentive, ensuring that everything was perfect throughout my experience. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot-on, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Luis, with his expertise and welcoming demeanor, created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making us feel genuinely valued as guests. His ability to provide excellent service while maintaining a great level of professionalism was truly impressive.

Additionally, the food and beverages were of outstanding quality—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was prepared with great attention to detail, making the overall experience even more delightful.

Both of them went above and beyond to create a memorable visit. Their dedication to excellent customer service is truly commendable. I highly recommend Berlam Coffee Tea & Cocktail and will...

I visited when it opened 2+ yrs ago and then, last Thursday. I have to say I was a bit disappointed. It was almost empty aside from the presence of an East European family that was very rude and noisy and used the place as their playground while the staff doing/saying nothing. They might have been guests at the Hilton, yet they were very annoying and they should have not be allowed to spoil the place/atmosphere only because they stayed at the hotel. Cocktails are really good. I got the Bora (alcohol free), and my husband had a negroni. They also serve you some small nibbles. Service really needs improvement. A guy took our orders but then it was a young girl that brought the drinks. She spilled a good amount of my cocktail but aside cleaning up a bit she didn't offer to make another one nor apologised (In a fancy place, or at least that aspire to be one, I would expect another level of service). It's quite expensive for the service you get. The main room is also a bit sad and the furniture odd matched. It seems that after the fire that ruined a part of it they didn't want or had the money to bring it back to...

Based on the reviews I came for the cocktails. They were pretentious without delivering complexity or balanced flavors. Service was fine to good. Food was a massive disappointment -- foolishly I thought how could you possibly order a bad pizza in Italy? The kitchen at Berlam answered with what would be considered a travesty in Trieste and simply a bad pizza in North America. The crust was more akin to a dry pita, the tomato sauce was very acidic, and the toppings were at best what you'd put on a child's ham sandwich.
