La Movida dei Pescatori — Restaurant in Trieste

Good restaurant where locals go to eat. Meals are good and well prepared. Combine this with Trieste-relative very good price and you have a winner. Much better experience then going to fancy town center restaurants. We ate antipasti mix of fishes followed by excellent spaghetti vongole. After that we tried fun&tasty kadaif shrimps and sword-fish with calamari meal. Sword-fish was good, tender and super tasty. Also, lemon ice was something to try after a few drinks. Overall good place with even better value for money reward. Locals were helpful and eager to share their experience and tips. And finally if anyone wonders place has indoor as well as outdoor...

The salted cod spread was essentially the highlight of my meal. It came alongside a mixed antipasti dish, which had a cold platter of various fish preparations and a hot counterpart of fried scallops, shrimps and fishes. The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and accommodated us, even though we didn’t reserve any on a Saturday (the place was full!) The ambience was jolly and full of local people, many of whom seemed like regular customers. We had a great time!

Tip: Reserve a table...

Partiamo dal presupposto che la la posizione del locale purtroppo non è delle migliori, il locale comunque è curato, non come uno stellato è chiaro, ma c'è impegno da parte di tutti i dipendenti per renderlo accogliente.

Ora passiamo ai punti forti.

Pesce fresco sempre, ogni giorno il menù varia a seconda del pescato.

Prezzi imbattibili. La proprietaria ha stabilito un prezzo molto conveniente proprio perché la struttura del locale non è così costosa da mantenere.

Il pesce non fresco lo paghi quanto vale. Il locale comunica subito ( anche da menù) il pesce non fresco, come ad esempio i calamari, la proprietaria mi ha spiegato che Trieste non è il sud Italia e non può avere calamari freschi.

La proprietaria. Attenta a tutto, non le sfugge niente. Super disponibile si preoccupa costantemente dei clienti senza però essere invasiva. Anche i dipendenti sono onesti, ad esempio nell'ordine avevo un pochino esagerato, loro mi hanno consigliato e meno male. Tornando alla proprietaria aggiungo che mi sono permesso di darle un suggerimento, su una cosa che non mi era piaciuta ( una cosa di poco conto che non ha a che fare con il cibo), lei non solo ha accettato il suggerimento ma mi ha anche ringraziato facendomi notare che effettivamente era capitato solo quella volta.

Che dire, super consigliato, se siete amanti del lusso e della mise en place non è il posto giusto, ma se invece volete mangiare un buon pesce ad un prezzo onestissimo è il...
