Things started off well as we were greeted by a friendly staff. As we sat down at our table, we ordered a bottle of prosecco and tried to decide what to get for dinner. About 10 minutes later we were informed that they didn't have the prosecco we'd ordered in the cold nor did they have an ice bucket for it. They said they could put a cooling sleeve around it and we accepted that, though it didn't do much to cool the bottle down. We were very excited about the food as everything sounded amazing. I went for the shrimp tartare while my husband got the wild boar. As the food reached the table, the experience was sadly not at all what we'd expected. My tartar was exceptionally warm. I'd always expect and have always experienced raw foods such as ceviches and tartares to be served cold not room temperature or even warmer. while I let that go, it was the lack of flavour that really stood out. it seemed no effort had gone in to seasoning the tartare resulting in a raw shrimp mush without any real flavour. Disappointed, I still kept it and dodn't say anything.
My husband's boar on the other hand was so over salted that he had no option but to send it back as he could't eat it. I will say, it was cooked perfectly, but the saltiness just over-powered everything else.
He decided to exchange it for spaghetti with shrimp as the photos of the dish looked amazing and we were both excited to try it. Getting the dish took at least 25 minutes and when it arrived to the table it was yet another let-down. Though the spaghetti was perfectly al dente, the entire dish tasted muddy - kind of like when the seafood used isn't the freshest. We were supposed to share the dish as my dish was quite small (it was an appetizer so no problem there) but I could only take a bite of the pasta as it really did just taste bad. By that point my husband was hungry enough to have a few more bites, before we called it a night. What made the whole thing even more disappointing was the fact that once he asked to exchange his original meal, the service changed completely. Instead of the nice and friendly servers who greeted us, we got a lot of bad attitude and no understanding whatsoever.

Read moreUn'esperienza davvero speciale!
