Il Tegamino pizza e farinata — Restaurant in Turin

The waitstaff was kind and was happy to.figure out my mix of Italian, English, and pointing, which was very helpful. Their smiles were genuine. Ordered the marinate which was OK. I was not a big fan though it tasted fine just wasn't my preference. It seemed lacking in salt and spice; however, I believe that is what the dish is supposed to be. Everyone around me ordered it and devoured it; therefore, my American palette may have been the detriment to this dish and not the fault of the chef. I also ordered a vegan pizza as it was listed under speciality. It was also ok. The artichokes and olives provided some depth of flavor because of the vinegar brininess. The crust was thicker than I expected from an Italian pizza and the middle.seemed either dough or soaked up to much sauce/oil/liquid. The crunch and flavor of the pistachio was a welcome reprieve from the softness of the rest of the ingredients. Overall, atmosphere and service were phenomenal. I may have ordered poorly for the pizza I chose, but all the other pizzas looked to have the same crust as mine. I would go back if I lived here or were to visit Turin again. This is hands down my favourite pizza al padellino in Turin. I've been traveling towards this city for the past 7 years and I always try and taste different pizzas. This won me to the point that I have not had pizza anywhere else for the 3 weeks I spent in town. Great ingredients, good choice. Maybe the menu is a little too broad but the classics are solid. My favourite was Salsiccia e Patate. Perfectly cooked. The owner and staff are polite and chatty in a good way. Prices are more than fair. Now on to the 4 stars: I hope the owners use this feedback to change something. I've told everyone about this place, because I want people to go. The answer I got every single time was "I've seen the place but from outside it looks dodgy". I understand the need for privacy of customers, but maybe there's a nicer way to cover the windows. This place deserves to be tried and become a favourite, because they have all the numbers for it to be :) Looking forward to...

Loved this pizza! Thought it would be just a straightforward pizzeria from the outside but it was absolutely delicious pizza. The bruschetta was lush as well - I don’t know what they did to the tomatoes but I couldn’t stop eating them! Also discovered Bonet for the first time which is a must! Brilliant value...
