An Unforgettable Stay
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Turin Palace Hotel, and I must say, it was an experience that surpassed all my expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by outstanding customer service. The staff at the check-in desk were not only fast and efficient but also genuinely caring, making me feel welcome and valued from the very beginning. This was the highlight of my day after I experience a long exhausting flight delay.
The culinary experience at Turin Palace is truly exceptional. The food is delicious, and the breakfast spread is both diverse and accommodating, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences and demographics. It's a rare treat to find such variety in European hotels, and it’s something I haven't experienced in a very long time.
The rooms at Turin Palace are nothing short of spectacular. Spacious and uniquely designed, they offer a level of comfort and luxury that's hard to come by. The large bathrooms, complete with walk-in closets, are a delightful rarity that adds an extra touch of opulence to the stay. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, ensuring that guests have everything they need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the proactive nature of the staff. They constantly think of ways to make their guests feel special, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. Whether it’s a small gesture or a grand one, (for me was the 4:00 AM custom made cappuccino and Croissant prior to my departure to the airport). Their dedication to exceptional service is evident in everything they do and to me that is very important.
If I could rate Turin Palace Hotel with more than 5 stars, I would give them 1000. It’s a remarkable place that I highly recommend to anyone seeking an unforgettable stay. I will certainly keep...
Read moreWe booked this because of all the absolutely glowing reviews, but our experience, although very nice, did not match the level of other reviewers.
Our room was very stuffy (the air was very still and it was hot). The windows did a great job of blocking sound from the road, but it was much too loud with the windows open (the hotel is right across a busy street from the train station). Ok, we thought, we'll use AC, but it didn't work. The front desk told us the air conditioning isn't turned on until summer (it was March when we traveled). Fine, we resolved to just use the AC unit on fan-only, but even when we turned the fan all the way up, I could barely feel any air coming out. We asked the front desk for a stand fan and was told they would put in a request for housekeeping. Thankfully, when we got back to our room later, a small fan was there. The room was still hot and stuffy, but the increased air flow helped.
Yes, this incident is pretty minor, but we would have liked them to be more proactive in helping us figure out a solution for the stuffy room. We were grateful for the fan, but we would have expected more from a hotel with such glowing reviews.
The location is convenient (only a few blocks from via Roma and the main tourist areas), the breakfast room is gorgeous and there is a huge buffet of cold and hot foods (some good options of pre-packaged pastries for celiacs for those who need food safe from cross-contamination with gluten), and there is a beautiful giant roof deck with plenty of chairs (and set up to be able to serve drinks, but maybe that's another summer-only amenity?)
Overall? I'm sure you won't regret staying here if you're in Turin. But we were expecting more based on the...
Read moreWe had a lovely stay at Turin Palace. The location is very convenient to train station, restaurants and upscale shopping, although seedy right outside the hotel. Our room was modern and nicely appointed (large separate tub) and the hotel staff friendly and accommodating. The spa was very nice, although hours open quite limited, the whirlpool (not as hot as in America), sauna and steam-room were a bonus. I had a 50 minute scrub/massage which was enjoyable and only $75 inclusive of tip, use of facilities and able to book last minute! When we arrived the hotel was quiet and enjoyable, but as the week went on attendees to the Special Olympics packed the hotel to capacity, and seemingly we were the only ones not part of the group. It felt weird but also suddenly tour buses full of people wearing large hanging IDs were crowding the entry and lobby and one man even blew cigarette smoke right in my face. We also loved the rooftop terrace, and appreciated access to it despite it being off season and the roof bar closed. Breakfast was served in a charming room with a nice spread including many items like chocolate and tangerines that were clearly meant to take away for snacking later. Again service was great but as the hotel became booked, it took very long to get our morning coffees. Personally I thought the red “Annie” dresses the lady desk staff wore, as well as the blue shirt dresses worn by the breakfast ladies were outdated, unflattering and sexist, and in contradiction to the high style Italy is known for, but my husband says I am nit picking. Ok so if I am doing that I might also mention all the badly upholstered turquoise chairs in the...
