Eating at Chez Rinoò, under the direction of Brunhilde, it's an experience you can't miss if you decide to visit Turin.
The old lady supported by his chef will let you taste exquisite and genuine Torinese food served without particular attention to the presentation yet to the taste.
Chez Rinoò is a typical osteria, spartan and tiny where you barely have space to sit.
And I guess this is the real intent of the owner who wants to serve people as fast as possible while gently inviting people to leave asap to allow other guests queuing sit and have their go.
Don't get me wrong, as I'm not here. This is how the business has been setup, and I respect this, and, in fact, I much appreciated this to the many other fast foods like a McDonald if I have to.
Once in, you will be invited to choose your food from a list of dishes of the day, which you can check on your own on the blackboard attached to the wall. Otherwise, just listen to one of the two waiters that will pop around.
I would not recommend this restaurant to the tourists, lest you know some words in Italian. The food is great and the prices low, if you content yourself with the lunch menu of 12 euros, with a glass of red wine of 4 euros. Everything else is extra charge. I would not recommend this place to vegetarians. Do not ask modifications to the menu.
Si vous ne savez une seule mot en italien, je pense que ce restaurant n'est pas pour vous. Même chose si vous êtes végétarien. Ça dît, le déjeuner est bon et coût 12 euro pour le premier, le second et le contour, et 4 euro pour un...
Read moreA warm atmosphere or a family owned delicious home cooked food tavern. This restaurant quickly became our go to restaurant in our 2 weeks in Turin. We stumbled on it by chance as it was always busy with locals and wouldn’t have tried it based on reviews as it was previously owned by the aunt who was older and a little grumpy we understand hence earning lower reviews in the past. Couldn’t recommend it more I wish we could bring it back to New Zealand with us. My all time favorite is the beef stew, fusilli with tomato and chocolate crumble dessert (grandpa’s recipe). Try it for yourself! All simply delicious and the owners and chef just delightful and friendly! Thoroughly...
