New Pasta & Basta — Restaurant in Turin

Went there with my partner for her birthday.

We ordered one portion of carbonara pasta, the pepperoncino one and the sea bass to share. Both portions of pasta were very nice and tasty. With the sea bass, there was a misunderstanding as the waiter understood we wanted 1 portion each, not one to share. So we were rather confused when he brought out 2 portions.

After explaining what we actually meant, he offered to give us the second portion as a takeaway and they knocked a few Euros of the bill.

When we tasted the sea bass, we noticed that the scales were not completely removed, the reason for which I've taken 1 star away.

Overall it was a nice experience and I'd definitely recommend the place as this was the best pasta...

I knew when I walked in what it was gonna be. These men know what they’re doing and they do it WELL.

No joke, the best spaghetti I’ve ever had without the sauce even being considered (oil and garlic with pepperoncini and pecorino cream 🙂‍↕️🙌🏻🤌🏻). The texture and flavor was something I couldn’t even have imagined, my standards have been raised (and I’ve had some g o o d pasta). I had to take a picture after I’d already started eating it because right then I knew I’d be writing a review.

I didn’t take a pic of the insalata di mare and branzino I also ordered (or my friend’s carbonara and ribs), but everything was consistently top notch. Amazing first meal in Turin for the last leg of my Italian vacation!

Ennesima fregatura wonderbox dove il cliente paga la bellezza di un cofanetto 55 euro e quando si presenta al ristorante gli dicono che nel menu spetta un primo senza scelta e un dolce con mezzo litro di vino sfuso e mezzo d'acqua sfusa. Il primo devo dire che nonostante la porzione ridotta comunque soddisfacente e quindi arrivati al dolce anche qui non ci hanno dato la posssibilità di scegliere tra quelli esposti nel carrello/frigo e quindi ci siamo trovati sul tavolo due tortini scongelati al microonde che subito ho fatto notare al cameriere non erano di nostro gradimento in quanto erano al pistacchio e crem caramel due gusti da noi odiati . A questo punto il cameriere ha pensato di portarci un medesimo tortino ma di gusto amarena sempre di sua iniziativa e che gli ho fatto portare subito indietro chiedendo se era possibile avere qualcosa con crema o cioccolato .........mi è stato risposto mi spiace non abbiamo niente .....assurdo il carrello/frigo esposto proprio davanti al nostro tavolo presentava vari tipi di dolci tra cui pasticciotti di crema tiramisu fragole ecc. Tutto questo è per dire che chi acquista questo. buono WONDERBOX è totalmente penalizzato e si trova in una condizione in cui il gestore avendo probabilmente un risarcimento piu basso si rivale sul povero cliente che invece ha pagato 55 euro e ha mangiato forse per 30 euro . sicuramente esperienza da non ripetere mi sarei aspettato un po piu di professionalità visto che il cameriere ha visto che i dolci non erano graditi senza lasciarci la possibilita di minima scelta cosi come per i primi. UNA VERA PROPRIA FREGATURA ....NON VI LAMENTATE CARI RISTORATORI MA COSI NON ANDATE DA NESSUNA PARTE E COMUNQUE VADA AVETE PERSO DUE CLIENTI MEGLIO MANGAIRE A CASA PROPRIA O NEI...
