We had a really memorable lunch at Raffaleo. The menu, execution, and presentation were impeccable and the service was really genuine and warm.
To start, I highly recommend the 2011 Barbaresco–amazing complexity and long finish that we really enjoyed with all the dishes.
For Primi, we ordered the Tagliatelle al gambero viola ligure (tagliatelle & gambero red prawn), which was an absolutel flavour bomb. Pasta is perfectly cooked too.
The Profumo di domenica (ravioli) was really well executed too–perfect skin thickness with delicious ragu filling that goes well with the beurre blanc sauce.
For Secondi, the BellyPression was a crowd pleaser that went so well with our wine. But the most surprising one is the Pescato del Raffaleo (fish with bouillabaise)–such an amazing flaky, meaty texture!
And finally, don't leave without trying their desserts–Sicily Gold was my favourite, but if you like chocolate, the Sigaro del Raffaleo is also a must try.
Thank you Donna & team, I will remember this meal for the rest of my life. I hope I can come back to Turin to...
Read moreIt all started with the last evening in Turin. We were looking at a restaurant menu and a random guy on a motorcycle approached us. "The best restaurante in town, if you want to experience something interesting, come at 6 p.m.

To begin with he brought us a sample of various homemade pastries and a glass of prosecco (the first prosecco I've ever tasted by the way). We then sampled two croquettes. Everything was on the restaurant bill. Everything was delicious. About the croquettes, I would have put more mayo and more garlic, it would have added the bigger layer of taste.
Otherwise, we ordered two main dishes and a dessert, it was really an experience and a new experience. I definitely...
Read moreDuring my visit to Raffaele in Torino, I tasted a superb seafood selection paired with an excellent wine. The raw fish platter was fresh and clean, and the pescato of the day highlighted the natural flavor of the local catch perfectly. The tajarin alla granseola featured delicate pasta with sweet king crab, while the tagliatelle al gambero viola ligure celebrated the vibrant flavor of Ligurian purple shrimp.
The Benefizio Riserva Pomino Bianco 2022 from Castello Pomino, Frescobaldi, was a perfect match. This Tuscan white wine, rated 4.2 by over 350 reviewers, offered fresh acidity, ripe orchard fruit notes, and a creamy texture that complemented the seafood beautifully. Its balance and finesse elevated the dishes, making the overall experience at Raffaele a memorable one for lovers of refined Italian...
