Read moreSestogusto Mazzini is a culinary gem that marries tradition with innovation, crafting an unforgettable artisan pizza experience. From the moment I stepped in, the warmth and professionalism of the staff set a welcoming tone. Their attentive service perfectly complemented the restaurant’s cozy ambiance, making us feel cherished throughout our meal.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly “The Shovel” – a unique offering that featured two distinctly flavorful pizzas on a single platter. The dough, light and airy, resembles focaccia, making it not only easy to digest but also elevating the flavours compared to traditional Neapolitan styles. Half was the “Sapori del Salento,” adorned with vibrant cherry tomatoes from the Vesuvius hill, creamy burrata from Gioia del Colle, crisp Taggia olives, and tender turnip greens, all tied together with a sublime basil emulsion. The other half, “Toumin,” boasted the same rich tomato base, topped with aromatic Toumin dal Mel, stretchy mozzarella, and a sprinkling of handcrafted terracotta, bringing a delightful texture to every bite.
Each ingredient spoke of the region’s heritage and the restaurant’s commitment to supporting small Italian producers. The flavors were a testament to the craftsmanship and care that went into each dish, with each bite transporting me to the picturesque landscapes of Italy.

Read moreTriple check your bill!!! We ordered a 14.90 euro pizza + 7 euro red wine per glass. After 15 minutes (!) the waiter arrived and said they ran out of the pizza we ordered and suggested a different pizza which cost double... we ended up ordering a 29 euro pizza. Also the wine we ordered finished, so we had to order a 9 euro one. We waited 55 minutes for our pizza and wine! When we asked for the manager, the waiter was very rude and impolite, and finally when we did get to speak with the "manager", we didn't really get an answer to what we were complaining about. Finally we got the bill, and instead of charging 9 euro per glass, they charged 13! At the cashier, the "manager" wasn't surprised at all by the "mistake"... he corrected the bill and also discounted us with 4 euros... Not only that the service was bad, but also you cannot trust the bill. So... triple check it! Bad experience on our part....
