Trattoria Sardegna — Restaurant in Turin

Great neighborhood trattoria close to a tram stop. Good, solid food with friendly and efficient service and a nice atmosphere. For lunch, they have a daily Menu Fisso, but you can choose from 2-3 items for a first, a second and a side dish. So it’s Fixed in the sense that it is a Prix Fixe menu, but you have choices within it. I got the Mezze Maniche (Half-Sleeves) with Melanzane (Eggplant) and Speck (a type of cured, lightly smoked ham) and Petto di Pollo ai Ferri (Grilled Chicken Breast) with simple side salad and a ¼ liter of house red wine with water and coffee for 17 Euro. First time I tried Sardinian food (in Torino of all places!), and boy, was my mind pleasantly blown.

The price was more than fair - it was a rip-off! From me - to the restaurant (the restaurant was ripped by me🤣); the meal hearty and flavorful😋; the ambience unpretentious yet inviting; the service always attentive but never pushy. 😊

Will be dreaming of the “Fregola ai Frutti di Mare” for a long time now. In fact, I consider booking another flight to Italy so I can try every other dish on their menu, as it sure looked like all the other tables were enjoying theirs.😋

Della Trattoria Sardegna possiamo dire che è in una location ampia e luminosa e vari orpelli alle pareti ci ricordano la regione a cui si ispira. La ragazza che serve in sala è sarda sicuramente, e la cucina sarda la conosce bene... Menù a 13 euro con 3 primi e 3 secondi (con contorno) da scegliere acqua compresa... Le lasagne erano un po' secche perché già calde e pronte da servire ma la salsiccia a tocchi era gustosa e cotta bene. Per sfizio abbiamo voluto assaggiare la seadas che era buona e non le mancava certo il miele... Vini sfusi buoni entrambi (cannonau e vermentino) ed economici 8€ al litro. La chicca del giorno è stato il Mirto bianco che non si trova proprio dappertutto... Il locale è gestito solo dal cuoco e dalla ragazza in sala che deve fare un po' le corse per stare dietro a tutto ma alla fine ce la fà e non manca neanche di regalarti un sorriso cordiale...
