Trattoria Cerere — Restaurant in Turin

I am late to review as my husband and I ate here almost a month ago, but as we were discussing where I wanted to eat for my bday, I was reminded of here. Our experience here was phenomenal! The food was a blend of homey, as if your grandma had prepared it, and exquisite tasting. I am not originally from Torino but my husband is, and he too was blown away by the flavor of dish. The Russian Salad and bagna cauda made such an impression on him that every time we have had these dishes since then, he has compared them back to Cerere's versions. Beyond the food, the staff was extremely kind and welcoming and the automi sphere was so quaint and magical. It was thunder storming with hard rain when we went, and sitting in the covered patio room really created a beautiful atmosphere. Purtroppo devondire che ho avuto un'esperienza molto negativa. Entrati ci hanno accompagnato al tavolo che ra in un'altra stanza passando per un portico credo dove c'erano biciclette e altri suppellettili, però va be, ci può stare anche se era la prima volta che mi capita in tutti i posti dove sono stato, abbiamo mangiato prettamente piatti locali, e devo dire a malincuore che personalmente a me non sono piaciuti, attenzione... non erano né preparati male o tsntomeno di scarsa qualità, come si sa il cibo è soggettivo a qualcuno può piacere ad altri no. In fine preso il dolce purtroppo sono incappato che in questa fetta di torta nel mezzo era in stato di decomposizione (muffa all'interno) e purtroppo me ne sono accorto solo quando ne ho mangiato un boccone. Chiamato credo il proprietario per fargli notare l'accaduto a semplicemente portato via il piatto, epoco dopo a mandato una cameriera a chiedere semplicemente scusa per l'accaduto. In fine ci siamo alzati, abbiamo pagato, non ci hanno fatto pagare due dolci (ci mancherebbe anche) abbiamo salutato e siamo usciti. Mentre eravamo li per il conto da parte del proprietario neanche un accenno dell'accaduto, sarebbe bastato un " ragazzi mi dispiace tantissimo, scusate.... è la prima volta che ci succede e bla bla bla.... invece impassibile come se non ci fosse un domani. Moooolto difficile che torneremo in questo locale ! Se andate e prendete un dolce apritelo nel mezzo prima, perché se ci trovate del verde sappiate che non è menta.

(Non penso di aver commentato "cattiverie gratuite" come lei dice, ho solo descritto cosa ho visto da quando siamo entrati fino alla nostra uscita e di come sono andati i fatti, quindi credo di essere stato abbastanza onesto altrimenti avrei potuto essere molto più cattivo visto l'accaduto, infatti ho riconosciuto che ci poteva stare il problema, ma non mi è piaciuto il comportamento dei suoi collaboratori, con un pò più di tatto forse il problema sarebbe passato in maniera diversa, se oltre tutto se l'avrebbero avvertita del problema, quindi casomai la prossima volta prima riprenda i suoi collaboratori, e non chi si è trovato in questa situazione. The restaurant wasn't something special Acctualy when you pass from the road you may think that the place is closed! The good thing was that it was open! We arrived there after the recommendation of a friend of mine. The 2 lady's (waitress and the chef) were realy kind and helpful even if they didn't speak fluent English! Somehow we told her that we want to taste local torino dishes and she did exactly that after 5 minutes she brought a plate full of. Local appetisers to begin....
