Pizza: 7/10 Service: 3/10

Truffle paste pizza was incredible and the beer menu was impressive.

But...

Oh my god, service was so terrible.

Not just "I got a bit annoyed" terrible, but "everyone was catching the glance of everyone else in the restaurant and laughing at the unfolding car crash" terrible.

Literally not a single table seemed to be untouched by the poor service, I witnessed the following:

A table of 6 small children and 4 adults, partway through their meal having their ENTIRE large table being moved to create a new table for newcomers Pizzas turning up with the wrong order at other tables (their eyes rolling) People with crutches being left standing at the door when the waiters disappeared to check availability and forgetting to come back

As for us, we had such awful service it was like a farce. Wrong pizza came for child. Waiter disappeared before we even noticed. Waited ages and eventually had to stand up and take the pizza over to the serving area. Man disappeared again before we even had chance to check he understood the problem!

They brought the replacement pizza 15 mins after we received ours, and then it had the wrong type of salami - it was a sausage (spicy) - no good for kids.

Then a huge wait to get a drink for the child who had eaten spicy sausage. Then the drink came and they went away but didn't leave a glass, so child had to drink out of glass bottle. Eventually after 7 minutes attracted waiter's attention to bring a glass.

He never did.

I got up and took a glass from the bar. Nobody even noticed.

Angry looks from people waiting, abrupt and rude service. A man looked bemused when we asked for a glass of milk for a child. He said "I drink milk for breakfast but not at dinner". No kidding! You are a grown man!

Worst thing: waiters were happy to stand around laughing with each other, all the time our child cannot eat his pizza and we cannot attract their attention.

Mi permetto di intervenire, dato che non e’ possibile farlo nella recensione stessa, in replica alla risposta che il titolare ha dato alla recensione del mio compagno. Mi pare che i sacrifici che i ristoranti debbano fare siano sottintesi, che la vostra pizzeria non sia l’unica a farli ne’ che sia giusto strumentalizzarli nel contesto di una recensione che denuncia un episodio specifico che, per quanto lo si voglia minimizzare, non e’ stato certo da poco, dato che il baldo signore sputacchiante passatoci vicino senza mascherina poteva benissimo essere positivo e contaminare il nostro tavolo. Trovo sia giusto che passi il messaggio che adottare scrupolosamente le misure sia la normalita’ e non un atto eroico, proprio perche’ in molti ahime’ non lo fanno. Tornando all’episodio sarebbero bastate delle scuse sentite e un intervento immediato, e invece sia sul posto sia qui mi pare non ci siano state altro che autogiustificazioni. Oltre tutto la recensione non era stata certo in stile “hater” date le due stelle e il riconoscimento subito in incipit della qualita’ delle pizze e della bellezza del locale, ne’ credo che una (adesso 2) recensioni rappresenteranno la rovina di un locale che, giustamente lavora a gonfie vele come abbiamo potuto constatare vista (lo riconfermo) la qualita’ delle pizze e la location suggestiva. Tanto che da parte mia ho scelto di darla a 3 stelle. Puo’ capitare di sbagliare. Ma le scuse o le si fanno senza remore o non si fanno, altrimenti e’ inutile.
