We should have been warned by the fact that the waiter (also manager?) claimed that all the fuss over 'cinta senese' is pointless, that it's a pig like any other. Riiiiiight. Bruschette ordinary. Melted cheese was tasty, truffles on top were apparently fresh, but had no aroma or taste. And then we waited ONE HOUR for the 'house specialty' of pasta with meat ragout and truffles. When they brought it out, it was disappointing to see and the taste was so bland... Truffle aroma zero. The whole dish was tasteless and the pasta overcooked. House wine mediocre....
Read moreI had a great experience at Baccus L’Osteria. The owner, Giuseppe, was friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable.
The food was delicious—especially the Ragu Bianca e Tartufo fresco (pici pasta with meat sauce and truffle) and Tagliata di manza e Tartufo fresco (sliced beef with fresh truffle). Everything was fresh and full of flavor. I also loved the Tiramisu at the end.
Overall, the service was excellent, the prices were fair, and I’d definitely go back....
