I had written a more positive review about this place in the past, but after my recent visit, I’ve changed my mind. The food was still tasty, I won’t deny that—especially the fried chicken, which was full of flavour. However, I couldn’t help but notice that the pieces looked darker than usual, not the usual golden colour you'd expect. I’m not sure why that was—maybe the oil wasn’t fresh, or the cooking temperature was off—but it stood out.
I also had a fried ice cream, and that’s where things may have gone wrong. I can only guess, but since ice cream is a raw product, even frying it briefly doesn’t necessarily bring it to a safe temperature internally. And if it was shaped by hand without proper hygiene, that could explain a few things.
The bottom line is that I didn’t feel well afterwards. I woke up the next morning feeling nauseous, had a mild case of diarrhoea, and a general sense of discomfort. I can’t say with certainty what caused it, but the timing speaks for itself.
It’s a shame, because the food tasted good, but this experience has made me rethink returning. Hygiene and food safety are just as important as flavour—and for me, this visit...
Read moreThis was a fantastic experience! The restaurant is a real gem in Venice. The food was exceptionally delicious and authentic, and every dish was a little masterpiece. I would especially recommend the spring rolls! Our plates reminded us of the ones we saw in Berlin, so we decided to bring a little history into our dinner. We built a Berlin Wall out of rice in the middle of the table and drew a border, and then we got seriously into a debate about whose side was better. Of course, each person praised their own river of food, but in the end, just like they passed food over the wall in Berlin, we were passing portions back and forth. I was sending my food to her, and she was sending hers to me, to check whose food was better. In the end, we concluded that both sides were great, so we made up. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and relaxing. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone looking for excellent Chinese cuisine and a little bit of good fun. We will...
Read moreAvoid at all costs if vegetarian. The menu is not at all clear. I ordered fried rice with curry and when it arrived it had chicken in. It was finely shredded so I was a few mouthfuls in before realising. When I questioned it with them they said they add chicken to lots of their dishes and that I should have told them before. I said I didn't need to inform them as the dish I ordered had no mention of chicken on the menu. I was very distraught and how they handled it was disgusting. They were laughing and speaking in Chinese and then trying to tell me it was my fault. She finally came and said sorry but was laughing and bowing down to me. I was disgusted in how they dealt with the complaint. I left and didn't pay for my meal but was still charged for my Husbands, which we paid for. They need to properly translate their menu to avoid this...
