Bar Accademia — Restaurant in Venice

We had visited the bar a day before out of necessity because the nearby museum is lacking a cafeteria. Our pastries were stale and the waiter was smirking arrogantly at our polite tries to order in Italian. Nonetheless, we bestowed him with a tip and returned the day after to finish our Museum visit. Before ordering drinks and food, I went for some short business at the restroom. But when I tried to return to my friend who had been waiting outside at the table, two waiters tried to block my way out and started accusing me of using their facilities without being a customer. I tried to explain to them that I already been a customer and was on my way out to get seated - on which the smirking waiter insulting me with four-letter-words of a sexual nature. This did noy come not as a total surprise considering his loathdome attitude the day before. But it confirmed my suspicion that these fellows regard tourists as mere cash cows whose only purpose in life is to be milked dry. Therefore, I can only recommend you to avoid this...

I NEVER tend to do bad reviews unless feel have to.. I have had a very bad experience. The episode started when I’ve ask for the check. I was straight presented with the card terminal device to do the payment, I didn’t got the check, so I asked to have it printed. It follow up arguments back to me as “ai didn’t know how much was it or as if I haven’t checked from the menu”

Straight to the point, I was polite, As customers we are free to ask and see the check before proceed and pay. Is how it works everywhere. I didn’t look for any of these happenings at all. This is about dealing with people, costumer service. We are all different. Both parties as Owners/staff and customers can just adapt to each situation and make the best of it, not arguing back just to have reason on something… no...

Avoid! Not worthy of even 1 star. RACIST AGAINST THE ENGLISH AND MISOGYNIST TOWARDS WOMEN. Really rude oriental waiter (the one without glasses) . He was racist saying he doesn't like the English , all because I bought a takeaway tea , and the paper cup was very thin and burning my hands. So I asked if I could have a mug to drink In and was happy to pay extra 2euro for a mug, but his attitude was so rude then he insulted me and my son for being English. I paid cash so he didnt even have to run it on a machine, so really no need to be so rude. IF YOU ARE ENGLISH OR JUST CANT STAND RACISIM AVOID AND BOYCOTT! left a sour taste for us, first night. He probably would have been polite if it was a man and not a woman with her child....
