Unkind to foreigners. I ordered a bowl of granola (€6, comprised of yogurt, fruit and granola) and asked to have the fruit and granola separate.
We are very obviously not Italian but my boyfriend does understand a bit and noticed that as our barista was putting in the order, the manager asked her to put in each ingredient as a separate order. This brought our order from €6 to €9 which would not have been a huge deal at all and if she had asked I probably would have agreed. But since they didn’t say anything and just straight up charged us, it felt like they were either taking advantage of us or just punishing us for ordering yogurt with the topping separate.
We ended up getting huge servings of each ingredient which was just not what we ordered or what we wanted. She also forgot our cappuccino and we had to ask her again.

There was a woman with a short ponytail (dark brown hair, not the blonde haired woman the rest of the reviews are roasting) working at the pizza counter tonight 6pm. If you cannot deal with tourists, choose another location to work in. We found the pizza to be excellent quality - dough, ingredients for topping and crispiness - so we went to order extra slices. While my mother was looking at the selection of pizzas to choose from, this waitress was pointedly looking at my mother and then making eyes with the other female waitress and giggling crudely. 0/10 for...

While we were waiting for our food, we noticed the staff preparing focaccia and were simply admiring their craft. One of the bakers abruptly turned to our group and snapped, accusing us of taking a video—despite the fact that my phone was in my bag the entire time. He then confirmed we were Indian or Hindu, which only escalated his aggression.
We understand that this city experiences overtourism, and that establishments have every right to set boundaries around photography or filming—this is a humble café, not a tourist attraction. But what we experienced wasn’t about phone etiquette. It was racial profiling, and the hostility that followed was deeply uncalled for.
Appreciating someone’s work shouldn’t be met with suspicion...
