The restaurant sits right at the foot of the Rialto Bridge on the San Polo side and has the best views of the Bridge. The seats run right along the edge of the Grand Canal and it is bustling with visitors, gondolas and all sorts of water vehicles. The host promised me a table by the water 45 minutes from when I strolled by and when I returned later, there the table was. Our waiter, Lindi, treated us to a small glass of Prosecco, and recommended the branzino with roasted vegetables and my wife ordered the avocado salad with octopus. We were skeptical about the quality of the food at such a touristy location but loved the location. Boy were we glad we dined here. The flavors of the dishes were simply amazing and the octopus was so tender. We were tremendously happy with Lindi’s service as well as with other waitstaffs. And the price was not expensive at all relative to where it is situated. So we ended up having delicious meals, great service and to-die-for view of the Rialto Bridge at a very reasonable price. Cannot recommend it enough !!

Wandering through the streets of Venice sure works up an appetite. Just next to the Rialto Bridge is a true gem, Caffe Saraceno, a jewel in the crown of Venice, a fair price for authentic, delicious Italian food and timely, professional service with a smile - with a special thanks to Massimo who was very kind to us and made sure we had a fantastic experience. We were lucky enough to be seated right next to the canal (the alfresco dining here provides a really authentic Venetian ambience), watching the boats go about their business. We had the Bruschetta, Calamari with Garlic Sauce and Venetian Sardines - all of which were fantastic, particularly the Calamari which was fresh, perfectly charred and delicious. I will most definitely be returning! Keep up the great work Caffe Saraceno Crew!

In 3 words: DO NOT GO. I am not a full or an idiot person to understand that food quality does not match with good location. I did not expect the opposite. All went wrong from the very beginning. They have a 'tourist menu' which is written cleverly in small 'just inside'. Once we sit down in the terrace, we ordered a Valpolicella wine bottle. We tried in Verona day before and it was superb. The one we had here was more expensive (€ 35) and much much mich worse quality. It seems was a different wine . I requested just a glass of tap water (just a glass) and the waiter said it has to be mineral or sparkling as they don't give tap water (we already ordered a bottle of wine....). He was not helpful, not friendly at all and with thuggish/pimping attitude. We went then for main dishes rather than the 'tourist menu' (it looks like they don't want tourist outside). My gnocchi were overcooked and the portion quite small (again I don't expect high quality food but I cool better and I am a terrible cook). Carbonara from my partner was ok. They gave us bread without asking. I asked if was for free and they said yes (when I am aware they charge for it...). Another thing to mention, a new waiter gave us the cheese for the past and he Was doing it fine but a senior waiter came and took over and speaking out loud badly and it was embarrassed for the new guy. When I went to toilet all young waiters were friendly and smiles and very professionals. However, the senior ones were thuggish. This is my first negative comment of a restaurant /outlet. This means it was such a negative customer experience.

The worst attitude I have ever seen in this category of restaurants, The staff are so rude even the restaurant manager, I asked to set on a table close to the sea, he prepared the table and asked me to set, then another waiter came asked me to move from the table saying “ we are not letting single to set here, go and and set on another table or leave” when I refused to move because the table is empty and one of the restaurant staff allowed me to set, he took the menu from my hand and remove the cutlery and he started to touch my arm, when I asked about the restaurant manager he replied that he is not here while the restaurant manager where standing away and watching. It’s very terrible restaurant and the staff doesn’t know anything about the hospitality and respect the people Once I stand with the restaurant manager I told him about what happened and I said that I can pay whatever it should be but the staff should be aware how to speak, he left and didn’t show any respect as well.

AVOID! Tourist trap, you've been warned! We didn't see the reviews before we sat down, sadly. It was only after eating the food I decided to check based on the quality of the food and found our mistake. This restaurant is the biggest tourist trap in Venice. Looking at the menu before sitting down you expect a well priced meal. Once they're done wripping you off on the receipt, you are expected to pay instantly so you don't look at the receipt properly. €11 for water, €4 for table charge and a 12% pre charged tip. After they add this up for two people, we were met with a bill of over €60 for two people and we had only sat down for a pizza and a lasagna. The pizza was down right awful and under the layer of cheese it was swimming in oil and whatever else they added. My partner had the lasagne and it was ok but definitely pre heated. You can get better pizza from a cheap store frozen pizza. To round up, avoid at all costs, you've been warned.

Ridiculous! Biggest trap we experienced in Venice. What you see in the photo, costed 70€. We knew from the begging that since the restaurant is right next to the Rialto’s bridge,it was going to be 100% touristic and of course- expensive. But our hunger led us there and we sat to that restaurant without a second thought. You could tell that the „Wiener“ schnitzel, was ready and precooked from the factory and just warmed at the restaurant and served to us. The garnish for both of the dishes was cheap, precooked sliced carrots and peas -I wouldn’t even eat when I was a student! At least serve proper vegetables that will make the dish look less funnier… Not to mention that the “Wiener schnitzel” has to be served with potatoes/ purée… Never again…Dinning there, felt like eating in a canteen. ( I wouldn’t mind having that food in a canteen and paying 4€ for it, but didn’t felt nice having it as a dinner in Venice…I mean.. it was a bit…ridiculous)
