Not sure why this is not reviewed more as a tourist trap.
It basically uses a nicely themed decor to lure people and their kids in to scoop their overpriced "high quality" (they claim) candies. Their unit price is at least 3-4x more than a regular by-weight candy store. On top of that, some of their candies are huge/heavy, which are unique to this store, because the bigger or heavier they are, the more $$$$$$$. Just one of those cone or snake gummy is more than a 100g. Lol
People who complain their kids get $50 worth of candies are also the problem, who let thei kids randomly get whatever they want. It is not about disappointing them. It is about explaining to them what a reasonable amount is. If youbknew the price and you still let them scoop whatever they like, that's your problem.
If you have to, just visit the place, admire the decor and get a small amount of candies just for fun and for the experience. Afterall, how Italian is it to visit a Czechian candy...

Today we were told by the lady at the door that we can put some candy back if we took too much (basically explaining that it wouldn't be an issue). All was well, and we headed in to fill our bags. Once we got the the counter, we intended to purchase two bags of candy, we asked to put some candy back (as we were told this would be okay) and the lady at the register (a different salesperson) was rude and completely unhelpful. We were apologetic as we knew we had overcompensated. But her actions that followed were inexcusable, she snatched the bag away from us and refused to sell it to us. We paid for the other bag and left. This is how they treat paying...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling prices. Went in wanting to simply try a few things as I was waiting on friends to visit in another store. Got to the cash with maybe 10 candies and the person in front of me had a half baggie filled. Their total was 46 euros!! I was shocked. Got up to weigh my stuff and was told 10 euros. That's ridiculous for 8 candies! I asked to remove some and ended up paying just over 5 euros for 3 larger gummies, 2 licorice squares, and 2 sour watermelon slices. The candy isn't even that good. You are much better off buying a bag of haribos or Katjes. Definitely tainted my venice experience. AVOID...
