Thank you for your response, but I must express my deep disappointment with your approach, which I perceive as discriminatory. Your "lunchtime only" policy was enforced despite many tables being empty, and my beverage order would have still contributed to your revenue regardless of the lunchtime claim. This treatment is incomprehensible to me and reflects a poor business strategy.
Moreover, there are multiple similar negative experiences reported on Google, indicating that this problem is not isolated. Negative reviews of your restaurant not only address the service but also the quality of the food. These reviews should serve as valuable feedback for you to improve your services, not as a platform for attacking those who dare to criticize.
By registering your business on Google, you opened yourselves up to public reviews. However, your responses suggest that you wish to selectively validate which experiences are acknowledged, much like how you select your customers.
It's evident that your knowledge about the hospitality industry is limited, as shown by the volume of negative reviews. Instead of spending time improving your services, it seems you choose to spend it attacking customers who express their opinions online, which is unprofessional and detrimental to both your reputation and your customers' experience.
I would like to add that your policy was not visibly posted anywhere, and the waiter explicitly asked if I wanted to eat or just have a drink, and even provided me with a drinks menu. This inconsistent messaging and treatment are what prompted my initial review.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and start treating your customers with the respect and decency they...
Read moreI was passing by in the evening 3 days ago and came up to the idea that my wife and myself would jump in for some cocktails and deserts for children. The waiter refused to give us a table outside even though all were empty. Reason - just for those who order a meal. No reservations, no people. I’ve met for a first time with such attitude. Ever! ———- Edit: this edit was made as an answer to the manager. Only way to do it on gmail’s is like that. Dear Mr Manager. With all respect I do not remember if children had some cons with ice-crams or not. Even though if it would be a problem than waiter might highlight it and we would come in 3 minutes. We didn’t want to eat dinner but we as adults wanted to have some drinks, deserts and most probably like in case of other places where we were in the evening we would leave serious amount of money, as usual. Your behaviour just shows that apart of other places on the squeeze and in the neighbourhood you are unfriendly for the families with children. Especially that till late night that day your restaurant was not occupied fully. What does not suppose me too much. Next time please put a paper “we do not serve the children”, “tables just for those who eat 3 courses dinner” or simpler “nur fur Deutsche”. Wishing you quick collapse I wish you pleasant...
Read moreWhen we arrived in Venice and on the plaza San Angelo, my husband and I could not find our hotel. Endris, a waiter at Galileo noticed our distress and helped us find our hotel which was very close by. We had a glass of wine at the outdoor seating, which was lovely and relaxing after a long travel. Then we had dinner there. The menu has enough variety for any palate. Our meals were delicious and the service was very professional, but at the same time warm and friendly. My husband had to be taken to the hospital the next day and spent 10 days there. The staff at Galileo were aware of my situation and were very empathetic and supportive. We had a friend traveling with us and she told them of my plight. This happened on my birthday and the staff made a plate for me with Tiramisu and a Happy Birthday message in chocolate syrup. Certainly lifted my spirits to have such a caring staff of a tourist. Our accommodations were overlooking the Galileo. My friend and I ate our meals frequently at the Galileo and the staff were always professional, but warm and friendly and the food consistently excellent. I did dine at other places, but the Galileo will always stand out as the...
