Osteria Santa Giustina — Restaurant in Venice

One star is just because there is no zero star option. This place is embarrassing, never been ambushed to sit down to a table where the menu is just embarrassing and prices are way higher than anything reasonable. Opening the menu, just few options of the worst vomiting combinations. Tuna with strawberries, cuttlefish with marmalade, mussels with gelatins cooked cream, and deeply into vomiting horrific slimy loads of rubbish. Looking the appearance from other table main colours were burned brown, dry dark sticky or disgusting green. 60€ is the target per head you spending for area average. Point is we are living a social society where no culture people are allowed to eat chocolate with ham and suggest it as 5 stars meal.... That's the reason why I won't believe any further feedback. I can't mix with tasteless crowd which gave more than 1 star here. I have got respect for myself. Shame to whom gave positive feedback to this...

My wife chose this restaurant for lunch based on its menu and reviews she saw online and liked. However, from the moment we sat down, the woman who appeared to be the owner or a staff member was extremely indifferent and rude. Initially, she blatantly ignored us and continued chatting with someone else. Finally, when she brought the menu and took our order, she was inexplicably rude.

Although we enjoyed our meals, the portions were very small. Considering the high prices, this was quite disappointing. Moreover, the same woman who served us maintained her rudeness when it came time to pay the bill. I noticed many people complaining about the same issue in the reviews, so I'm not surprised.

We have not been so disappointed with a meal in a long time! We ordered a bottle of white wine, we got a bottle of orange wine that tasted like oxidized malaga. I was served the most boring tomato mozzarella salad. One of the starters, fish carpaccio marinated with gin!?! The risotto with clams/mussels was served with mint sauce over it!! The combination was horrible and the risotto slimy like congee (cant believe i am in Italy!!). We also had a fritto misto served with a polenta (who serves fritto misto with polenta?) that tasted like baby food and a wasabi mayo!?! No idea what the chef was thinking or trying to do! I would be embarrassed to serve such food! Normally a google score of 4.3 should be decent, this...
