We spent 45 minutes traveling to the restaurant today. We thought tonight would be an exciting and delicious dining experience, but no, the manager, who looked more like an Indian rather than an Italian, ruined everything.

I am from Germany and also the owner of a restaurant there, and I was extremely surprised by his attitude towards customers. I’m not sure if all managers here are like him, but for me, this was an unforgettable experience for my family and me.

I arrived at the restaurant and inquired about a table for three (the place looked busy), but two people before me, who also hadn’t reserved a table, were escorted inside. The man then told us, "We’re full, sorry," a statement that made us feel very uncomfortable. I think the restaurant should provide him with a new training session on customer service.

I then politely mentioned to him that we had spent 45 minutes traveling to the restaurant and would be willing to wait for an available table. His response, after looking at the seating plan for 5 seconds, was, "You can wait until 9 o'clock even it was 7oclock." This response made it clear that he was trying to get rid of us, likely because he assumed we were Asians.

He even stepped outside the restaurant to argue with me at the entrance, while our family had a 10-year-old child with us. There was a table right near the door, and someone had already mentioned to him that they wanted to pay and leave, so we could sit there, but he ignored this without giving it a second thought—likely because we were Asians.

He even seemed like he wanted to fight me in front of the restaurant. What a terrible experience. I apologize, but I hope everyone can read this comment before deciding to dine here. I swear these are angry words, but they are not lies. In conclusion, never ever again… And i hope u guys can find a better Management. If not contact me then im gonna send someone to Venice and train the Service for you. 🤗

P/s: Answer for your reply:

We understand that those who have made reservations are given priority, but explaining to customers in a gentle and polite manner is something he should know. And it is unacceptable for him to be so rude in front of children. I don't care whether your restaurant has been in business for more than ten years or one day, but look at how many one-star reviews you have received on Google today. Instead of reporting low and honest reviews about your restaurant and teaching others about humility, see for yourself the low quality of your restaurant's service and improve it. Because no matter how many times you report it, it cannot cover up that poor quality service. I hope the restaurant will soon improve its service and retain...

We arrived at the restaurant at 19:30 and did not have a reservation, we asked the waiter if there was a table for 3 people, looked like Indian, wearing a black shirt came out and talked to us very impolitely and said very loudly “all tables are booked” A customer sitting nearby saw that and said: "we are almost done eating", meaning they could give us the table because they were about to pay, but the waiter did not care at all and just looked at us and said loudly: "no, we are fully booked". We continued to ask: “can we wait and if we wait, how long will it take for us to get a table?” Since we found online that this is a highly rated restaurant, we came here hoping to have a great dinner in Venice. But the way he responded to us was very impolite and disrespectful, he said in a challenging tone “if you can wait, then wait until 21:00”. Instead of explaining gently to the customers, he had a very unprofessional and arrogant attitude.

we said “you shouldn't talk to me like that, we are customers and you should talk politely but he raised his head and asked: “are you injured or am I injured?” And he walked out as if he wanted to fight with us.

We also have a restaurant in Berlin but our staff never do that. This was a very bad experience and unprofessionalism of an uneducated employee. He should be fired so as not to affect the restaurant's service if he doesn't want to continue to receive bad reviews in the future. A family of 5 who were also waiting right behind us also left because they saw his behavior. If you want, your restaurant can send him to our restaurant for better training.

Unfortunately, we made our way to A Le Tole Spaghetteria Pizzeria on a review for “Gluten Free” menu items. When we arrived there, we were greeted by the manager at the door, and the first thing I asked him was did he serve items “senze glutine”, and clarified wanting pasta & pizza. He stated “Ci, of course!” When the waiter came, we ordered a spritz each and when ready to order. Asked for gluten free pasta and pizza. He said “No Pasta, only pizza”??? I asked if they made the pizza dough there, he hedges and said “we make GF pizza”, I asked again, and he said “Ci. We make GF pizza dough here”. It arrived piled onto a frozen premade pizza crust, was absolutely awful, and I started to have a gluten-histamine reaction to it. I told the waiter and then asked to see the manager. The manager was belligerent and stated that no one had ever complained before and that it absolutely was a gluten-free pizza. I stated to him that I have had plenty of premade crust, and I’ve also had freshly made homemade dough in Italy, and it was absolutely not homemade and it was most definitely causing me a reaction. He was irate. The waiter came back and said the manager took the pizza off and we handed him our card for the bill when it came back we had indeed paid for my husband’s pasta the two drinks, water bread and the very gluten-free not homemade pizza. Not recommended, one it was terrible and two they both lied to me prior to my ordering it, and...

Food quality meets requirement but may not be on par with Italian standard. Atmosphere is good with live singing session there. But service was lousy. We were a group of 4, we ordered one antipasti, one seasonal vegetables and 3 pasta to share. Also a bottle of house wine. Was our order not enough? When we ordered the antipasti (tomino fritto), the waiter told us it’s too small for sharing. Ok … After finished ordering, I requested if they could serve the antipasti & seasonal vegetables first then only the 3 pasta, but he told me it’s not possible, well … this was not the experience in all other Italian restaurants I have been to. Then within 5 mins, antipasti, seasonal vegetables and duck fettuccine were served. And I asked again if the kitchen could slow down the serving as we didn’t want to eat cold pasta and more importantly no space to place all those dishes. But the answer was NO 🤷‍♀️ Following two other pasta dishes also served, they asked us to shared the pasta first but how, as we have not finished our entrees yet, so we asked for a smaller plate and was given one reluctantly. Then here came the waiter asking us to finish the tomino fritto so to have more space on the table… but we just didn’t want to rush through everything and wanted to take our time to enjoy our food… he tried to explained on his good intention instead of rushing us and asking us to listen to his explanation. But did he ever wanting to listen to our feeling?

Last Thursday night, my wife and I stepped into A Le Tole, following a friend’s recommendation—and what an unforgettable experience it was! From the moment we walked in, Elena, the wonderful owner, welcomed us like old friends, making us feel instantly at home. Then came the food—a masterpiece on every plate. We had homemade tagliatelle with salmon and zucchini, and from the very first bite, we knew we were tasting something special. The pasta, freshly made in-house, had the perfect texture—soft yet firm, as if kissed by the hands of an artisan chef. The salmon was tender, the zucchini subtly sweet, and the creamy sauce brought everything together in a way that felt almost like a melody for the palate. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, harmonizing beautifully with a crisp, well-paired white wine. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, the desserts arrived like a sweet embrace—their homemade tiramisu and crema catalana were velvety, delicate, and simply divine. The ambiance only added to the magic—a beautifully decorated space, rich with Venetian charm and history. And to top it all off, a live singer filled the air with enchanting melodies, turning dinner into a truly sensory experience. A huge thank you to Elena and her brother, the brilliant chef, for creating not just a meal, but a moment to remember. If you’re looking for authentic flavors, a cozy atmosphere, and a touch of Venetian magic, this is the place to be!
