Just finishing up a trip through Italy, could have written a dozen of these, but this place gets the ink. ✍️ Absolutely fabulous in every way possible. Best meal of our 10 day trip. Best service I’ve experienced… ever! And I’ve been around awhile! Our main server was GianPiere. This guy! 👌🏻 Noticeably kind, informative, positive energy. It was a pleasure to observe him greeting, serving, and having discussions with families in English, Spanish, German, French, and Italian. 😱 I was very impressed by his level of gratitude… he genuinely thanked us for every item we ordered in both of our languages (English and Spanish) - I have never experienced this, and it felt very classy! We had a mixed salad, Ravioli Ricotta e Spinaci, and a Quattro stagioni pizza. All were exquisite; every bite more delicious. I went for it with the large one liter draft, and we just took our time and enjoyed it. We topped it off with a caffé americano, and were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable bill.👍 Very fair pricing, which we found was not always the case on our trip. We were gifted a shot of limoncello at the end, maybe because it was our anniversary. I also want to point out the other dinners looked and smelled so amazing. The dining roomed filled up after we sat down, and we saw brilliant looking steaks, and a lobster spaghetti special… I wanted them all! The food is made with love and served with happiness. This place is an absolute...
Read moreThis is a terrible restaurant with evil and deceiving staff. They offered me to get their fish of the day priced at 8 Euros (he even showed me the menu showing that price), they said "very small serving." So, I thought it was like the size of tapas. And then suddenly the fish of the day serving was so large, it was a whole big fish. I said to the server, "This is so big. My order was just 8 Euros." The server said, "Yes, that's 8 Euros." And so, I tried finishing that serving of bland fish that's not tasty at all. Just so I can make good use of my money. And then after eating that, I asked for the bill. The bill came with a shot, which I assumed was complimentary. After drinking it, I looked at the bill and they charged me 2.5 Euros for that shot which I did not even order. And then the fish was being charged at 48 Euros. And then I asked him for the menu again to double check the price, he asked, "For what?" I said, "The menu says this was just 8 Euros." Then he said, "Yes, 8 Euros every 100 grams." At the start, he even said it was very small serving only, and then ended up serving me a big overpriced bland fish! Very terrible experience, my bill amounted to 77 Euros because I got a drink and cuttle fish ink pasta also, which were terrible. Do not even try this place. They are terrible, evil,...
Read moreRistorante Dallo Zio is a fantastic restaurant.
They offer great food for both visitors and locals in Venice. I specifically ordered their lamb chops and pepper steak (if I remember correctly). Their dishes give off a home-style, comfort food vibe—something you’d expect from a homemade meal. They were delicious and really good value for money. I have no complaints.
What I truly appreciated was the exceptional service and staff. It took my meal from good to great—basically from a B rating to an S rating.
We had a waiter named Luca, and he was fantastic. He truly made everyone feel at home. He was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I believe people like him are what set apart the great from the good—separating the men from the boys.
He is a gem of the restaurant. I’ve dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants and fine dining establishments, and he exceeds that level of hospitality and service.
If he’s not being paid fairly, I believe he deserves a raise. If he’s a regular waiter, he deserves to be promoted to senior waiter or even manager.
Kudos to the management and staff of this restaurant for making my family and me feel at home.
This restaurant is producing Michelin fine-dining-caliber staff. Great food and great service are what make people want...
