My husband and I came to Venice to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We wanted to stay in a luxurious suite with 24-hour room service, and close to St. Mark’s Square so we could enjoy those dueling café orchestras in the lit-up square at night. We noticed many Venice hotel rooms were very small and had no room service (or elevators). We were thrilled when we found Splendid and happily booked the Presidential suite for 8 nights! Splendid exceeded our expectations. Salvatore Pisani, the General Manager, met us when we arrived and showed us around our beautiful suite. He was very friendly and kind. There was champagne and wine and fruit and treats waiting for us in our room. He even asked if we would like a Spritz, something we had said we wanted to experience when in Venice. Yes, please we said, and before we knew it two Spritz were brought up to our suite. They were very delicious and refreshing and we couldn’t help sipping more of them during our trip. Our king size bed was very comfy and our suite on the 5th floor was very quiet. I loved the beautiful marble bathrooms, the shower had great water pressure and the towel warmers were a nice touch. I’d never used a bidet before, but now I want one in my bathroom, too. Most mornings we had breakfast served in our room or on our private terrace. Fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, delicious croissants and fruit, oh and the best illy coffee ever! Everything was delicious and a great way to start the day! Throughout our trip there were fruit baskets, wines, chocolate hearts and treats left in our suite when we were out. And on our 40th anniversary, we found a beautiful card along with a delicious cheese and fruit platter and a bottle of wine. Wow! Just Wow! We felt so special. The Splendid Concierge Team is exceptional. Whether it’s planning a day trip to Slovenia to see the castles and caves (shout out to Antonio our fabulous driver) or getting directions to the bridge or square, they are always eager and happy to help. So professional and kind. You can ask Concierge anything. Nothing is too big or small. Grazie Millie Alessandro, Pietro and the whole Concierge Team. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t just absolutely love Venice. I didn’t get it. Now I do. On our last day, I felt so sad I nearly cried. I didn’t want to go home. I wanted to stay. I love the Venice book you gave us as a farewell gift. I keep it in our living room to remind us of the magic and beauty of Venice that will always live in our hearts. I can’t wait to come back one day! Maybe for our 50th! Grazie Millie Salvatore Pisani and Team!

We had our Anniversary stay here from Florida for 3 nights. We could not be any happier with choice of hotel. Its tucked in a canal location equally walking <5 minutes to Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. Luxurious and safe location very friendly staff and concierge desk staff helps u w dining and tourist questions bookings. The rooms were spacious comfortable and great Air Conditioning in hot summer month (which for Europe is key, esp since some hotels even 4 star have limited AC sometimes controlled centrally by hotel- not here!) Bathroom spacious clean, bed very comfortable as were sheets. Overall a perfect hotel in perfect location central to all your tourist attractions and easy to get to from Train station via Rialto Boat terminal and leas than 5-6 min walk w 4 luggages total we were able to get to hotel in busy 12pm rush tourist time w/out any issues. Walk was flat besides some steps for bridge. Alternatively forr 100-120 euro u can take a private boat taxi to their dock as well, public transport from main train station was 7 euro each w/ luggages. The front receptionist, i think her name was Irene, welcomed us warmly w sweet anniversary surprise and the breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh (eggs, various breads, juices, cheese, meats etc...). The rooftop bar (opens 7-10pm) is a gem and really nice to have a wine or cocktail there overlooking all of venice roofs and towers. Really cozy and nice touch for this hotel. Overall 100% we will stay here, well worth the cost and made our trip very memorable and comfortable. Once again outstanding location and rooftop lounge added to our happy experience.

Booked directly with hotel, chose the most basic room. However, upon arrival, one was almost believing I was at a 5 star hotel. I was going solo but plenty of room and seating area for 2+. Views were of the nearby canal, nothing much to see Very clean floors and bathroom, comfortable bed with different firmness of pillows. Loved the Ghd hairdryer, espresso machine (didn't use), 2 worldwide plug sockets next to the bed, USB power sockets, floor lighting, bath robes, stationary and brilliant soundproofing as the room was next to the lifts - didnt ever notice any noise. Plus a rooftop seating area. Almost everything I needed (shaving) Air conditioning was adjustable but ok. Hotel has its own restaurant that offers buffet breakfast. Made use of the deposit box at reception (there is an electronic safe in room) and luggage storage (flight at 9pm) and checked out 1pm -requested (standard check out 12 noon). Location is perfect distance away from St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge and Rialto Airport boat service. Decent and reputable restaurants are nearby within 3-5min walk on top of highly rated gelato/ice cream places. The area immediately outside is a popular area for photos of a small bridge cross the canal and gondolas/ private boat passing though (reception can arrange this).

This is a fairly nice boutique hotel in the center of Venice. This safe location is very convenient to shops and restaurants. It is about 4 mi ute walk to San Marco Square and the Riallta bridge. The staff at this hotel is welcoming. Well I'm going to request a change or upgrade, so I'll let you know how they handle us. We did not get a balcony ir a good view. Our room is noisy because it faces the street or should I say the waterway canal, so it was very loud starting at 5am. The room itself needs updating. The ugly brown and tan patterned wallpaper seems old and there's a big dug up scratch mark area on the pergo floor. Some of the decor is nice, especially the black and white pictures on the wall. The night stands and desk seem to be cheap Ikea type furniture. The light violet velvet sofa is lovely. The tall double windows look out on another building with a noisy waterway. The walls are paper thin, because we can hear talking in the next room. The air conditioning does not work at all and there is no fan. The tv does not face the bed, so I'm not sure how you would watch it. I could not turn off the bathroom light even though I tried every switch. The so called night safety light lit up the whole room and made it impossible to sleep. The beds were firm and comfortable. The Carera marble bathroom is not spacious, but pleasing. The breakfast which was included was disappointing. There was a small selection with little variety. The scrambled eggs were cold and runny. There was a selection of dried cereals, yogurt and bacon. There were plenty of pastries, a nice but simple selection of 4 cheeses and a fruit platter. They offered hard boiled eggs and some salami and processed ham. The 3 different types of juices were refreshing. The spread was small, but adequate. Compared to other delicious hotel breakfasts in Europe, there was nothing special being offered like smoked salmon or prosciutto. There were delicious chocolate croissants though, but nothing to write home about. All in all, this hotel is a safe choice for your visit in Venice and if you can pay under $245, then you'll be happy with...
