Sadly this is the WORST Zara experience Iâve ever had. As others have mentioned the security guard is overzealous and horribly rude. My husband attempted to sit on the stairs outside the store and was SCREECHED at by the indoor security guard-he moved along as neither of us realized that wasnât something allowed. I went in to shop-while i was in the store the weather began to turn. My husband tried to enter the store and was once again SCREECHED AT- to leave immediately. There is no cell service in the store so i was unable to communicate with my party about the weather. I heard the commotion and quickly exited the store confused about what had occurred. I still canât figure out what had the security guard so upset with our party. I ALWAYS make a point to visit all the Zara Stores i come across when we are on vacation -Switzerland, Paris, Monte Carlo, Madrid and have never experienced a similar situation except at this store. Please please please do not ruin a wonderful trip and city with a visit to this store. there are many many many complaints about this particular guard but no one seems to listen or care. we entered many stores and restaurants before this particular Zara in Venice and were greeted and treated with dignity and a modicum of respect. I made a point to go to this shop before we left the island and I regret it deeply . Please hold out for a different Zara location and donât let this store ruin your trip to Venice-as it almost did ours. Venice is magical yet these people do not want your patronage and do not want you near or in their store. There are other reviews to back our sad experience. I have added photos of our other shopping experiences the very same day that...
Read moreRacist staff and store. I should have read reviews before coming here. My family and I were on a 2 week vacation to Italy. Due to the extreme heat all of my dresses were getting pretty sweaty and they are dry clean only, so I decided to stop by Zara to buy some additional clothing to get me through the rest of my trip since I know this store has cheap prices.
As soon as my husband, daughter, and I entered the store a security guard that was not there before posted himself by the entrance. While I was walking through the store looking at clothing, someone was following me almost the entire time. When I checked out, the sales associate asked if I had a pin number for my card. I said that I did not because it was a credit card, so then she angrily asked to see my passport or id. I didn't have either, but I did have color copy of my passport that I carry in my wallet and I showed that to her.
The whole time I was in Italy me and my family were treated kindly by everyone. No other clothing store that we shopped in asked to see our id while we were purchasing anything or followed us around while we looked at items. On the contrary the sales associates were excited to see us and couldn't wait to tell us about any deals or specials they had going on for the day.
I really needed the clothing, so I just went ahead and still purchased the 3 outfits. DO NOT GO HERE! I know I won't if I am in Venice again. Worst experience of my...
Read moreZara urgently need to implement customer service training for staff in this store. I've shopped in Zara stores throughout the UK & Europe & have generally found staff to be OK. The staff member I had the misfortune to encounter in this store behaved with rudeness & arrogance. The changing rooms on one floor were completely closed, resulting in a queue of about 30 persons for the other rooms. I found a quiet mirror in the corner + tried a dress on over my shirt + jeans, along with 3 other women doing the same. A staff member came over + started loudly complaining to me that I could not try on outside the changing rooms. For some reason she picked on me alone + didn't say a word to anyone else. Later I joined the queue to pay, when the same staff member marched up & said the till was now closed..no apologies, no reasons given, no directions to another till, just waved her arms telling the queue it was closed. There seems to be an absence of basic manners & a complete lack of regard for the...
