Riviera del Leon — Restaurant in Venice

If i could score ZERO i would, sat down with my partner with expectations to have a good meal and drinks with a view across the water, must have only been 6-7tables worth of people (16-20 people max), 1 working cash desk, the (assuming) manager and 3 “young lads” as he put it, we sat down at 7pm and ended up waiting 30mins for just a menu!! At 8pm they finally turned up for taking an order for drinks, at this time 2 young girls had sat down next to us and straight away he was over to them, asking names, offering complimentary wines, (fair enough, assuming our drinks had been ordered? Or had they?) 5 mins later they had more drinks delivered, by 8:15 our drinks finally turned up but still they never took a food order after been reminded we wished to eat also, by 8:30 the girls next to us had their food delivered and managed to eat half of it before we seeked the manager out to pay our bill and complain of the non-existing service wjere the young lads hovered behind like a couple of cowering puppies behind their mother. The manager scrubbed the 12% service charge but we still paid for product that was drank, the manager came out with all excuses as to why it is right for the young lads to try their best to sleep with the young girls that go there instead of attending to the other customers. When i had gone up to pay our bill, the cashier mentioned he spoke little to no english (how convenient) and was trying to re-add the charge for service that had been previously wiped, after several refusals he called one of the young lads over who started getting irate and speaking Italian to his colleague (clearly slagging off the customers thinking they dont understand the language spoken, he quickly backed down when told to disappear and walked away his tail between his leg,

If your female and on your own or with a group of females, be wary of your drinks as wouldn’t be surprised if your drinks have a free extra for their benefit,

All in all, the worst service ever received at a restaurant, even had better service from the likes of McDonalds and KFC during busy times.

Avoid...

Me and two of my friends stopped at this place to have some food and drinks with the beautiful view. Me and my friend ordered food and drinks, and our third friend just wanted some prosecco and ice cream. But the waiter was very rude and insisted that each of us must order a dinner. He said he comes back later and gives us time to think. We thought it is a rude joke and aggressive marketing, so we sat there for a bit until the other, younger waiter came to us. He said he only takes orders for drinks, but we said some of us want to eat too as soon as possible. He agreed to take the order, but the first waiter came back near and said to the younger waiter in Italian that he shouldn't serve us food if we don't order three dishes. The friend said she's not hungry and just want to have ice cream, but it changed nothing. "We need 3 plates", the waiter repeated and refused explain why. They simply refused to serve us dinner unless all 3 of us order food. We couldn't stand this attitude and left.

We're very dissatisfied and disappointed with this experience and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Please do not visit this restaurant unless you don't want your needs to be respected. The worst waiters and attitude. Only the view deserves 1 star....

TOURIST TRAPTOURIST TRAP*

My friend and I were offered the "Catch of the day" by our waitress, who spoke fast Italian, a supposing fresh seabass with tomatoes and potatoes. On the menu it said 9 euros. The surprise on our faces when we saw the bill of 155 euros. Our waitress never explained to us the price. They said the price of 9 euros was per mg of fish. It was NOT FRESH nor the weigh as indicated on our bill. The only English speaking waiter, tall with little glasses, is rude, obnoxious and offensive. The outside manager didn't speak English, only yelling Italian non stop. Another guy comes out who is supposed to work for the place tells us we're not in Kazakhstan. He says if we don't pay in Kazakhstan, they chop off our heads. While explaining to us we have to pay or they'll call the police, they keep talking Italian between themselves. They even keep laughing at us.

NEVER GO THERE. SHUT IT DOWN. The prices are over expensive The staff is rude and unapologetic They sell you something by trapping you The waiting is long They charge 12% fees for cover

NEVER GO THERE. WORST PEOPLE IN VENIZIA. They should shut down the restaurant.
