Watch out for the extra high fees. You'll only see this tactic by Chinese run restaurants in venice. It wont be mentioned. Luckily my husband works for the government and the owner removed the fee. Yes, places will charge a fee cause of taxes in venice. But Chinese run establishments get away with charging the higher amount than required. So ⚠️ caution.
Nice restaurant run by Chinese owner. Sadly hired a very rude girl from Bangladesh (she told us where she was from). We should of just left. She gave us an attitude from the start. We were the first and only customers for 45 min too. Didn't order much because the so called waitress kept ignoring us. Was to busy on her phone. The owner was outside on his computer eating. Not noticing how we were ignored. It took 45+ min just to get the check and go. Hopefully it got better. Maybe I'm just picky. I lived in Beijing China 🇨🇳, Narita Japan and Hawaii on oahu and Maui. I can tell the difference in the food. I have found amazing authentic Chinese restaurants in Padua, Milan, Treviso, and bologna luckily. Japanese, so far obky found 3 that were close to good. None in venice. Or haven't found it yet. Also many ""Italian"" restaurants are also run by Chinese here. So the dishes lose the authenticity sadly 😥.
Food wasn't close to Japanese style at all. Tastes more fast food style. Just a heads up. There are much better sushi 🍣 restaurants in this area. Living in Italy in Venice I do get tired of Italian food everyday. I grew up mostly on Japanese and traditional northern Chinese. So I miss it and craved it. Just good to try restaurants to figure out what's good and bad and...
Read moreOur family ate at Yuga Sushi during a holiday break in Venice. The food was excellent. Honestly, the best sushi we've had in Italy after three attempts. Maki and Fotomaki rolls were all delicious and the steamed Gyoza as well. Everything was prepared and presented very well.
The only reason the establishment doesn't get 5 stars from us has to do with staff and atmosphere. The waiters that served us were wonderful, but we came at a time when the rest of the staff must have been eating dinner. They were all watching their phones and eating, several had the sound out loud so it made for a less than ideal environment. The hostess was also on her phone the whole time. It wasn't the end of the world of course but in what felt like a high end establishment, it changed the mood significantly to have loud TikTok or YouTube videos playing and everyone staring at their phones.
Given the tasty food, we'd give the establishment another shot and encourage others to as well. We're hopeful management reads this review and provides constructive feedback...
Read moreVery poor quality food. Nothing to do with a Japanese restaurant. We ordered some shrimps roll and received 3 half shrimp the same size of a skinny “grissino” for 6€ . The yaki soba very basic and small size. The sushi roll mediocre. The mochi are ice cream mochi, testy but nothing more that the one that you can find in the supermarket. The waitress was sweet, but we ask to have all the plates together and eventually we received the course in a very strange order with a lot of time between the first one and last one….probably to be in Venice the price is normal but for the quality of the food….EXTREMELY OVER PRICE! Overall not...
