Overpriced limited menu, staff pay close attention to locals, and we were squeezed in beside a group of about ten Italian /American business men, one of who made some let's say some adult remarks to which he felt he need to apologise to my wife for which was not needed anyway we had a laugh about it when the guys were leaving the obvious one who was the boss said to us I have taken care of your check!!! because I felt were intruding in your space shocked!!! At the kind jesture to say the least, we had another drink then asked for the bill to discover that the owner had another agenda we paid in full for what we had, then I told him what the business man had told us, no no they never paid thir bill they run away (they age range would have been around 50 to sixty-fiveso to run away I am sure the young waiting staff would have caught them as they made their getaway 🤣) which of course was not true, as he was all over them some of them he knew by name he basically was lining his pockets with money the Americans had already paid I hope one of the Americans pick this up and deal with this liar and...

This great cafe restaurant is situated on Via Roma, between the Arena, and Castelvecchio. It's on a corner and is the perfect sun trap year round, and with patio heaters for winter, and plenty of shade in summer a great place to land. It looks. a little formal, but it's not, with friendly bilingual staff that give you a warm welcome, and speedy efficient service. Drinks menu is comprehensive, with many choices of beers, wines and cocktails, so something for everyone, regardless of the time of day. The Caffè Al Theatro was the ritual of a friend of mine and me from Monday until Thursday for having a drink after dinner. The waiters (we met Arsen and Ruslan) welcomed us and were always kind, friendly, open minded and were wearing a smile. There is a huge variety of delicious drinks (if u want to have something, which is not on the card, the bar keeper does it for you). I can recommend Angelos Drink, which the barkeeper did for my taste (it‘s very fruity and tropical ^^). Next to the drinks, some snacks are offered and the atmosphere at the restaurant is so likely and relaxed - I will for sure go there again, when I am at Verona...
