Really didn’t want to leave a 1 star. It is near the Arena so would think that from experience they would know that opera day would be busy. Seems from other reviews that poor service is common. It was around 6:30 and they had run out of quite a bit of food - poor organising. Ordered a bottle of wine, was given only 2 glasses - explained that we wanted a bottle not just a glass of wine. Told us to drink anyway and he suggested another bottle which happened to be more expensive. Ok we went with it and it was nice. However the service was extremely poor and we’ve eaten all over the world. When the bill came they charged for the 2 glasses when we had been told it would be not charged. Guy went back on his word and said they had been drunk when he told us he would take them back off bill. It was constant problems with lack of choice available, incorrect serving and poor attitude - the excuse was ‘they were busy’. It’s Verona - it’s opera day - of course it will be busy!!!! We settled bill and told them how poor and the guy could not have given a toss - he has his money. Avoid at all costs. All it had going for it is that is is close to the Arena. We weren’t the only ones to complain on the night. Some left after having their drinks as they too weren’t impressed with service but that’s for them to...

Read moreI think this was the worst place I’ve ever been. The food came 2 minutes after ordering, the drinks weren’t even there. Based on the speed you knew: nothing is fresh. That was confirmed as soon as we tried the food. We ordered a Caesar salad and lasagna, the most simple dishes to make. The Caesar salad contained bad baked bacon, lettuce, carrots, tomato and some soft bread what should look like croutons. The bread that came with it didn’t seem baked yet. The lasagna tasted like a ready to eat version of the supermarket. Not bad but definitely not what you expect from a restaurant. I never write reviews but I felt like I should write this one and warn: don’t go here, Verona has lovely restaurants so please...
