This hidden gem was filled with locals and had an inviting, authentic atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The service was impeccable, warm, attentive, and they were genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The Lasagna Ragu was rich, layered with perfectly balanced flavors, and simply melted in the mouth, while the Beef Tagliata was cooked to absolute perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a delight!

The menu also boasted other options such as Donkey, Risotto, Tiramisu and a variety of wines and beer. All options were very reasonably priced and the coperto was €2 per person.

This hidden gem is clearly a favorite among locals, and for good reason. From the ambiance to the exquisite cuisine, it was easily the best dining experience of our trip. saw the good reviews and decided to come here for dinner as it was near where we were staying. we were greeted by the owner and we ordered a risotto (you need 2 people to order it), the one with donkey and the truffle one. however the wait time was unacceptable, we waited for nearly an hour until our 3 pastas came to our table. at first we were the only customers dining in the store but later we heard a few people sitting at the front at the bar talking really loudly with the owner. when the pastas did arrive it was a bit disappointing, some of the pastas were undercooked and a bit hard and pretty sure everything was microwaved? as there was no kitchen so bit confused why we had to wait so long. maybe this is the traditional italian pasta style but it just wasn’t...

What a hidden gem! I came to La Vela without any expectations at all and I left the place extremely surprised! We had bigoli as primi (donkey and duck) and they were amazing. It felt like the food an old nonna would make to her family on sundays, it hugs you, it’s tasty, simple, but extremely well prepared. Perfect! For second we shared the polenta with horse meat and, once again, an amazing dish! Very tasty, with the polenta cooked on the right form, not soggy, nor dry, just correct! The horse meat is extremely tasty.
