The first is that when we went there it was not as crowded as other restaurants in Volterra , but we still asked them five times to order food from us, The second was that they finished bread at 8:30 PM, at the beginning of the night, and when we asked for bread, they brought us another table of leftover bread!!! Ristorante “Alla Vecchia Maniera” - Recensione Durante la nostra visita a Volterra, ci siamo fermati al ristorante “Alla Vecchia Maniera”, attratti dall’atmosfera e dai piatti proposti. Purtroppo, l’esperienza non è stata all’altezza delle aspettative. Siamo arrivati senza prenotazione e, nonostante ci fossero diversi tavoli liberi, l’accoglienza è stata lenta. Dopo un’attesa di diversi minuti, abbiamo ordinato un mezzo litro di vino rosso, un litro d’acqua e un tagliere. Tuttavia, dopo 30 minuti ci è stato servito solo da bere. Il tagliere è arrivato dopo 50 minuti, accompagnato da pane secco e riscaldato, che non ha soddisfatto le nostre aspettative. Alla fine, delusi dalla lentezza del servizio e dalla qualità del cibo, abbiamo deciso di annullare il resto dell’ordinazione e di lasciare il locale. Purtroppo, questa esperienza ci ha lasciato un’impressione negativa. Spero che possano migliorare i tempi di attesa e la qualità del cibo in futuro.

Vorsicht versteckte Kosten! Hier bezahlt man +5 Euro fürs Tisch eindecken. Das wird einem allerdings erst klar wenn man die Quittung checkt, da es vorher nirgendwo ersichtlich wird. Dazu war das Personal sehr komisch. Der Besitzer wirkte total geladen und war beim aufnehmen der Bestellung sehr unfreundlich. Wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt. Dazu hatten wir eine Glutenfreie Pizza bestellt, die in der Karte für + 4,50 € ausgeschildert war. Auf der Quittung stand dann 6 €. Als ich den Besitzer darauf ansprach, meinte er er hätte das im System geändert aber auf der Karte noch nicht. Ich persönlich habe ihm das nicht abgekauft. Ich vermute hier eher eine Strategie weitere Kosten herauszuschlagen. Die Pizza an sich war sehr gut. Dafür gibts einen Stern mehr. Vor allem als Tourist wäre ich hier aber sehr aufmerksam. Ein Ort des Vertrauens und des Wohlfühlens war Alla Vecchia Maniera für mich und meine Freundin nicht!

Absolute day light robbery. Far from a real Italian pizza. Wet and soggy in the centre, cheese that comes off like a scab with just one bite, service was minimal, full of flies could barely sit in peace to eat. Its one and only redeemable quality was that it was relatively clean (the only reason it gets 2 stars). To top off 2 simple pizzas and 2 small bottles of sparkling water came to a whopping €26 - don’t bother eating here - walk an extra 5 mins and plenty of great places to eat...
