This is off the main strip in Okinawa, and when you drive by you can see they have a few parking spots, but there's overflow parking in the back. I wouldn't have known if my friend hadn't brought me, I did include a picture of it in this review so that you could see.
The food here is delicious. There wasn't a bad thing we tried. Every thing was a minimum of 4 stars.
The atmosphere is pretty standard. It's a small restaurant. The ordering system is a tablet so there isn't that much interaction with people. They do come and deliver the food (not robots) The menu does come in English on the tablet but you need to know where to press. That isn't necessarily intuitive. They take all cards here as well.
Cheese tobogi 4 stars
Kimchi 4.25 stars (though my friend gives this a 5 and it's her go to item. I'm not the biggest fan of kimchi so you might want to take what into consideration. I will eat it and I generally like it but just not a love)
Korean pancake 5 stars This was the best item here. Would definitely return. I've had a lot mediocre ones elsewhere.
Korean spicy and honey mustard chicken cheese 5 stars Another great item. It wasn't crispy due to the sauce and cheese but the flavors were excellent.
Special Sundab 4.5 stars This is a great item that comes with a lot of items. If I was eating alone this would probably have...
Read moreThere weren't as many choices on the menu as I had expected, but that didn't mean that the food wasn't to my liking. The Korean food was set to suit the customers, who are mostly Japanese and Americans. There was even a scale of spiciness (1-10) so that the desired spiciness will be satisfied for everyone. The cooking time was a bit longer than many restaurants, due to the fact that they cook the rice in a different way. As for the cost, most of them were reasonable (the right price for the right amount of food). A bowl of sundubu, a bowl of rice cooked specially for you, three types of vegetables seasoned with traditional Korean seasoning, and an egg was around ¥1100 (or approx. $9 - $10). The only thing I had wished they would change was the temperature of the room. Considering that the customers were eating something very hot and spicy, the temperature was a bit too high. Other than that, I was very much satisfied (and the full seats prove that it's the same for...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, but I agree with some of the other posters. I got the mushroom soondoobu and got the mild because I was afraid of them making it too spicy. Not flavorful at all. It was lacking salt or something. The rice comes in this tin pot and it’s just ok. I prefer it just on the side not burning unless it’s in a stone bowl with my bimbimbap. The sides namul are ehh and there’s no traditional kimchi that comes with the meal..not Korean. You can order kimchi but it’s $3.80. Also there were these weird pink pieces of chicken I think in the soup, which makes me worry a bit. There also wasn’t...
