KamiSushi — Restaurant in Chatan

Imagine yourself walking in to a classic Japanese style restaurant. You take your shoes off and sit down in private cubicle with a drop down table. You then close your eyes to meditate and get your mind right for the upcoming sushi experience you are about to have. The menu is vast with rolls and a variety of sushi to include other dishes just in case you don’t want fish. You order what is normally a portion for 2. A few rolls and some nigiri. The waiter is fast and precise and hustles back to the chef. After about ten minutes your food arrives and to your surprise it is the largest sushi portions you have ever seen. Colossal. In your face. Downright disrespectful portions of sushi. It was awesome. But I ended up not being able to finish what I thought would be a Japanese size dinner. The only reason that this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that they didn’t tell me their portions are massive. Otherwise the sushi and service are great....

Pretty good sushi, I thought it would take a while for it to come out but it didn’t at all. They have a large variety of drinks and food to choose from. I got the calamari and sushi plate. The calamari was good and came with mayo for dipping, but it was good without it. The sushi plate had a lot on it, I got the no wasabi version so it just came on the side. At the end of the meal, they brought us a complimentary dessert with some mixed fruit and Creme Brûlée which was a nice surprise. They were both really good. I’d come back to try their roll plate and their grilled menu. Only downside I will note that if someone parks behind you, you’ll have to wait for them to move. Or if you park behind someone they might come and ask you to move...

This place is located near in the American village area and just a heads up there is limited parking. I ordered the soft shell crab, vegetable tempura, and the California roll. The sushi was just ok for me. The soft shell crab was burnt and over cooked and the vegetable tempura had a ginger sauce that wasn't tasty with the vegetable tempura. My friend ordered the scallops buttered and that was very tasty. My other friend ordered the calamari and that was also very tasty. They sushi is very large for the price but just be aware that it has a lot of rice. What's nice is they do give a nice little dessert at the end which is creme brulee and a fruit dessert with peach, dragon fruit, mango and kiwi and...
