The worst Ramen I’ve had so far in Japan. I ordered the Hokkaido Miso Ramen with corn & was excited since I’m a huge fan of Miso Ramen. Our food took pretty long to come out even though it wasn’t super busy but whatever. The Gyoza and Karage we had as appetizers came out first. Both of them were more than underwhelming, underseasoned and no crisp on any of them. I was still looking forward to the Ramen. After another 10-15 minutes our Ramen arrived and we were again, underwhelmed. The Miso did not have any flavor. It was a bland, slightly salty broth, that’s it. The most flavor I got out of that Ramen was the sweetness of the corn. The egg was more than just hard boiled and the pork looked questionable. The noodles we got were also nothing to brag about. They look like the typical prepackaged, precooked, yellow Ramen noodles you get in single serving packs at the store.
The staff was just focused on getting done with us as fast as possible. No welcoming atmosphere, no hello, nothing. They walked out, gave us the Ramen and walked away. There’s plenty of better Ramen spots around, so we definitely...
Read moreThere I was, driving and admiring the surrounding weirdness When I happen upon a small, random ramen business Curious I was, I went inside to confirm and explore The spiciness of the food, that had become lore Admiring a challenge, I asked, "Give me your worst, what do you recommend?" To which the staff smirked, and said, "You want Level 1,000." My bowl arrived, sizzling, eye watering and my outlook bleak Regret, I was now feeling, but I couldn't look weak I lifted my chopsticks, and my meal, I consumed So flavorful, but with my body soon to be doomed I sweated, I cried, and I triumphantly finished my meal Then I departed home, driving with incredible zeal Upon arrival to my abode, I raced for the toilet with little time What exited me, could only be described as a war crime I sat there, pondering in my own despair My next visit, how will it fair? It seems I have learned nothing from my plight For I will be returning next week to test my might. To my toilet, the recent victim of my spicy expedition I say to you, "I am sorry for putting you in...
Read moreLunch menu item C spicy volcano ramen, 3 piece gyoza and their fried rice. Side order of their bar drink for ¥350 more!
Oishikata!!! I failed to take a photo of the after math! So delicious but like a few reviews mentioned a little too salty, and I do love my sodium (too much lol).
A couple let downs during my visit.
First the star of the show⭐️, the egg…..the half egg that already comes with the lunch combo was not my favorite item in the bowl. I wonder what the side topping egg would taste like! I would’ve paid for an additional topping had I known.
Second, was their stone bowls that come with your volcano ramen… I burnt myself a little, not by touching the bowl but, pouring the broth into the stone bowl. Which surprised me. I’ll pay closer attention when pouring I guess.
Service was great! Took about 8-10 minutes for my order. Would return for the Hokkaido miso ramen...
