I really enjoyed my stay at the Rinken Hotel! It is right on the beach and offers a beautiful view of the ocean. It is right next to the American Village and there are so many shops and restaurants to check out. There's even a movie theater really close by! Don't skip breakfast at Rinkens though! The breakfast was delish and had so many options and it was cooked to order! The best part, it is complimentary! In addition to breakfast, you receive complimentary tickets to an Okinawan music show right downstairs at the hotel and tickets to the art museum across the street! What a sweet surprise. The rooms were VERY nice. Simple, but well thought out and very clean! The bed was comfortable! They do not allow smoking so you don't have to worry about the room smelling like smoke like many "smoke-free" hotels on mainland Japan. The staff was amazing!! They treat you like family and are so hospitable! When I arrived, I was greeted and given a cloth to clean my hands and some tea as a refreshment. I was hosted to my room and given a quick rundown of how everything works. My phone was having wifi issue (no fault of the hotel, my phone is very old) and the staff tried very hard to help me find a solution which was very nice of them. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. They even checked on me during the storm as there was a typhoon happening while I was there. I left for work very early, before breakfast started on 2 of the days I was there and they volunteered to have some breakfast ready for me to take with me. So thoughtful! If you're in Chatan you should stay here!! I stayed here for work at Kadena AB, it is not very far, the hotel staff was able to call a taxi for me to go to work each day. Just be sure to mention you need a taxi with base access. Stay here, you'll...
Read moreI am back in Singapore, having fond memories of the trip, including the hotel & places I visited. The trip was good, not perfect, but in life, nothing is perfect. I met polite taxi drivers and retail staff. I was also helped by strangers when I lost my way while exploring the streets. I am truly grateful to be able to travel and experience other cultures. I could not speak Japanese and was not able to watch any English channel in the hotel room. Inevitably, there were communication barriers a lot of times, and watching TV was kind of boring due to the lack of understanding. Having said that, I'm happy with the hotel room in terms of size, toiletries, water bottles, and cleanliness. Counter staff were generally polite, but i could sense a subtle air of impatience when there were several questions asked consecutively in English. I believe they have many more local guests than foreign ones. Well, I would certainly visit Japan again in the future. Perhaps a...
Read moreWe booked at Rinken's Hotel after our Airbnb was canceled, and I am so glad we did! From check-in, to the rooms, to breakfast this morning everything has been absolutely spectacular! I am writing this review one day into a seven day stay because they just recently opened and have no reviews, and I want to encourage anyone to book here.||||The location is amazing (ocean views from all the rooms, close to everything in American Village, walking distance from many restaurants on 58). The staff is super friendly. The room is comfortable and beautiful.||||Would definitely recommend this...
