The owners were customers on the programme "Ramyun Brothers". In the show, they visited the pop-up ramyeon shop run by Seunggi and team and it was mentioned that they ran the restaurant next door. I was curious to try their food as the place is tucked away in a non-touristy corner of Enoshima and seems to have been around for a long time.
The restaurant was full on a Wednesday afternoon and we were the only non-Japanese patrons there. I loved the rustic feel of the restaurant. We were seated on the second floor with tatami mats.
Only several items were on the menu, which is often a good sign of specialisation. Indeed the food did not disappoint - the sashimi was fresh, thick-cut and generous, while their shirasu don tasted of the umami of the sea without a hint of fishiness.

Walking towards the restaurant, it was a really dark alley with only the restaurant lit up. There was no one at all, and we were wondering if the restaurant was closed.
As seen in photos, we were the only one. BUT then the food really changed us. The seafood was so fresh and well cooked. It gave us nostalgic feelings and warmth in the cold weather. The clams were to die for and honestly we wished we could’ve gotten more of it! Do note that they only accept cash, and the ATM can be as far as...
Read moreThe restaurant was luckily not full on Wednesday lunchtime, so I didn't have to wait in line( you can put your name down on paper if the restaurant is busy). The lady behind the counter gave me an english menu with pictures. Reasonable prices. Food is freshly made for you, so it takes more time as the kitchen is tiny. Only couple of seats at the counter and 2 small tables with tatami mats. They keep clams fresh in water tanks. The food was delicious, and sashimi was melting in my mouth. Portion was enough. I definitely recommend non alcohol plum sour. Although I don't speak Japanese, they didn't make me feel any different and treated me as any...
