Cafe Maru — Restaurant in Fujisawa

Most coffee gives me diarrhea. Café Maru’s coffee doesn’t give me diarrhea. That alone is reason enough for me to rate this place five stars. The desserts are really good, too.

Also, I love the place’s 1940s-esque atmosphere. The aesthetics, the soft jazzy music, and the dim lighting set the mood very well.

My only complaint is that it’s kind of hard to find. It’s tucked away in a back alley, behind another restaurant. If a friend hadn’t brought me there, I would have passed by it many times without knowing the place existed.
